There is a category of Female Liberation theologians I call "Divorce Evangelists" in my new book, Supervillains. They offer one simple, life improvement hack for whatever is ailing you: Divorce. "You can do better, girl!" Beware the Divorce Evangelists! They are rich, famous, nipped, tucked, and utterly miserable. Do not heed their siren song to abandon your children and your men!
"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper & actress Sophia Bush: if a woman is questioning whether she can do better than her current husband, "the answer is always yes." "This idea that it's too late or you're too old, or who are you to want more, that's patriarchy. That is crazy."

Anthropic is preparing for plan token usage cuts that OpenAI announced. I used to get excited about these subtle UI changes, but recently they have been precursors to unfavorable announcements. We have been asking for usage resets for months to match Codex usage resets, and we finally got them implemented last week for Claude with the Opus 5.5 release. So why add another "5-hour reset" section (new)? My guess is we are getting a $500 plan as well, which will be the new $200 plan (in terms of usage value), and our beloved Max plan value will be slashed in half.

🚨 BREAKING: CLAUDE TEAM JUST ADDED BANKED RESETS TO OUR USAGE SCREEN 🚨 I just switched over to my main account and saw this banked reset button there, and confirmed I have Opus 5.5 available now on the web. Has anyone given Opus 5.5 a run yet?
This usage screen should not be popping up in my dreams (nightmares). I almost burned through my second Claude Max Pro plan in a few busy days. One key observation as we prepare for Opus 5.5: If the team can make Opus usable again as your main daily driver/orchestrator vs. having to use Fable, it would reduce Fable/compute dependency and SIGNIFICANTLY save on token usage. Even with tuned model delegation, having to run Fable as the orchestrator because of a lack of trust in Opus is the main source of my token drainage. If we could just get Opus 5.5 to be competent enough to follow instructions and be mildly reasonable, we could tap Fable in workflows when needed, and work would be less disruptive.

Never let these people convince you their values are what they say they are. Follow what they spend their money on, who they choose to support, and ad I ate for, in other words look at their actions and never their words because they are hypocrites!
Never let these people attempt to use your values against you for anything. They don't hold these beliefs, they just want to weaponize them against you because they believe you hold them.

In the days, weeks and months after the 9/11 attacks, more than 300 dogs took part in the search, rescue, and recovery efforts at ground zero, according to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, which refers to the dogs as the "four-legged 9/11 heroes." abcnews.link/Nctzkzu

More than 300 dogs helped search for survivors on 9/11. In fact, the last person rescued at ground zero was found by a search and rescue dog. The search was mentally and physically taxing on the dogs, who walked across huge piles of debris and smoldering rubble. As the days went by, dogs became sad when they were no longer finding people alive. So, to keep their spirits up, their handlers staged mock rescues. They would have people hide under debris for dogs to find. This boosted the dogs’ morale as they continued their work. In addition to rescue dogs, therapy dogs were brought to the scene to provide comfort to emotionally drained and traumatized police officers and firefighters. Dogs are the best thing in the world and we do not deserve them.

Argentina Advances. You could almost predict this outcome once England scored and brought on that extra defender for their attacker. You can’t sit back on defense and let the GOAT loop crosses and passes in and around the box for 20 mins. Playing not to lose often ends like this.

GTA VI has a release date, and still no GOT Winds of Winter release date. It’s been 15 years since last book published, when @GRRMspeaking? When?!?! Asking for a friend…
Hi everyone, Grand Theft Auto VI will now release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. We are sorry for adding additional time to what we realize has been a long wait, but these extra months will allow us to finish the game with the level of polish you have come to expect and deserve.

We just returned from vacationing in Europe. We were unlucky to visit during the heat wave. Honestly, never in all my years of traveling-even to less developed countries-have I had to call a hotel ahead of time and ask if they had indoor cooling. Not even AC. Just some way to keep the room cool. The countries we visited often boast that their standard of living is significantly higher, and in many ways it is. The air is cleaner. The water is exceptionally good. the food grown with less pollutants. Green spaces and trees for miles. But in situations like this, there comes a point where you have to ask yourself: is cooling your home a luxury that harms the environment, or is it a basic human need? Judging by the number of ambulances we saw responding to heat-related incidents and the people we witnessed fainting in public spaces-especially the elderly-I think it’s the latter.

Extraordinary display of concise messaging. One criticism, I don’t think this applies only to the men in “suits” which Im interpreting as the ultra-right; I think it applies to the ultra-left as well.

With all due respect to the Office of the President, this post contains several claims that are factually inaccurate and theologically misguided, and as a Catholic I feel compelled to respond. 1. The Pope was not elected to please any president. Pope Leo XIV was elected by 133 cardinals from across the world in a sacred conclave, on the fourth ballot, on May 8, 2025. The Holy Spirit guides the conclave, not American politics. To suggest that “if I wasn’t in the White House, Leo wouldn’t be in the Vatican” is not only historically ignorant but theologically offensive to every Catholic on earth. 2. He was not an unknown outsider. Pope Leo XIV served as Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops under Pope Francis, one of the most powerful roles in the Vatican, responsible for selecting bishops for dioceses worldwide. He was one of the most qualified candidates in the College of Cardinals. 3. He is deeply rooted in service, not politics. An Augustinian missionary who worked for decades in Peru, Pope Leo XIV dedicated his life to the poor and the Gospel long before any political figure noticed him. His name honors Leo XIII, the Pope who championed workers’ rights and the poor during the Industrial Revolution, a tradition of Catholic Social Teaching that predates any modern political party. 4. The Pope’s role is prophetic, not partisan. When the Pope speaks on peace, nuclear weapons, immigration, or the dignity of nations, he is fulfilling the mission of Christ, not opposing any government. His first words as Pope were “Peace be with you all,” echoing the Risen Christ (John 20:19). A Pope who is silent on injustice would be failing his divine mandate. 5. Demanding a Pope “get in line” with a president contradicts 2,000 years of Church history. From St. Peter before Nero, to St. Thomas More before Henry VIII, to John Paul II before Soviet communism, the Church has never existed to validate earthly power. “We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29) As Catholics, we pray for all leaders, including President Trump. But we stand firmly with our Holy Father. Habemus Papam. And he answers to God alone.
