While bobcats are native wildlife and generally avoid people, they may prey or interact with unattended pets. We want to help our community stay safe and coexist responsibly with local wildlife. Here are important reminders for protecting your pets: How to Keep Pets Safe • Keep pets attended at all times, even in the backyard. Bobcats can climb fences and may enter yards quietly. • Lock pet doors overnight and when you are not home so wildlife cannot enter the house or access pets. • Supervise small dogs and cats when outdoors, especially at nighttime. • Walk dogs on a leash and avoid heavily vegetated areas where wildlife may shelter. • Secure trash, feed pets indoors, and eliminate outdoor food sources that may entice wildlife animals (such as rodents) to come close to your residence. • Install motion‑activated lights around your property. If You Encounter a Bobcat • Do not approach and walk away slowly. • Make yourself appear large and make loud noises to encourage it to move on. Our team is monitoring any reported sightings and is available to answer questions or provide guidance. Thank you for helping us protect pets while respecting the wildlife that shares our community. Report unusual behavior or repeated sightings near homes to Animal Services online at friscotexas.gov/131/Animal-S… or using the Frisco PD App. We maintain a map of reported sightings to help keep you aware: survey123.arcgis.com/share/d…

#TrafficTipTuesday- Stop signs are there for a reason. A complete stop helps keep drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists safe. As a reminder, always: Come to a complete stop at the stop sign or stop line. Look left, right, and left again before proceeding. Check for pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles. Rolling through a stop sign puts everyone at risk. Let’s work together to keep Frisco’s roads safe! #DriveFriendlyFrisco

DA Greg Willis Announces 75-Year Sentence for Frisco Man Who Stabbed Lyft Driver While Planning to Kidnap Child Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced today that Antwain Karmen Williams, 20, of Frisco, was sentenced to 75 years in Prison for Aggravated Robbery. The Crime On December 16, 2024, Frisco Police responded to a 911 call of a vehicle taken at knifepoint. Officers found the victim suffering from multiple knife wounds, including a slit throat and a severely cut hand. Before emergency surgery, the victim told police he was a Lyft driver and the attacker was his passenger. The victim survived. The Investigation Within hours, Frisco Detective Justin Freeman obtained information from Lyft identifying the last rider. Although a fake name was used, the email and phone number linked to Antwain Karmen Williams. Records showed Williams had an outstanding arrest warrant for Sexual Performance of a Child involving a 13-year-old victim. Snapchat messages recovered from Williams showed he planned to steal the car that night in order to kidnap the same 13-year-old. Law enforcement tracked Williams, who fled in the stolen vehicle, crashed into another car, and was taken into custody by Texas DPS Trooper Justin Diaz. In a post-arrest interview, Williams first blamed a fictional person named “Landon,” then claimed the Lyft driver had locked him in the car and that he attacked only to escape. Additional evidence included a Snapchat photo of Williams smirking while holding the stolen keys with the caption “we mobile baby,” and earlier messages stating “I’m boutta get a car.” The Trial and Sentence Williams pled guilty to the first-degree felony of Aggravated Robbery. Jurors heard evidence of the robbery, the pending Sexual Performance of a Child case involving the 13-year-old, and other bad acts. Detective Walker Martin testified about phone evidence showing the illegal nature of Williams’ relationship with the child victim. Jurors also heard that Williams had spoken sexually with a 14-year-old, recorded and posted videos of sexual encounters with two prior girlfriends who were 16 and 17 at the time without their permission, and threatened to “jump” another person upon release. The jury sentenced Williams to 75 years in prison. Judge Jim Pruitt presided. Statement from District Attorney Greg Willis “This man attacked a hardworking Lyft driver at knifepoint, nearly killing him with a slit throat and severe wounds, as part of a plan to kidnap a 13-year-old child. A Collin County jury heard the full evidence and delivered a 75-year sentence. Our community won’t tolerate this kind of violence.” Prosecution Team Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Alex Haynes and Anthony D’Amore prosecuted the case, assisted by District Attorney Investigator Greg Bowers. Report suspected child sexual exploitation: Submit tips anonymously to cybertip.org or contact your local police department. collincountyda.com/da-greg-w… #PursuingJustice #ProtectingOurCommunity #CollinCountyDA #CollinCounty @FriscoPD
