SOUTH COUNTY FOOTBALL - Thursday Night, October 15th. On a warm, gusty evening at Shapell Stadium in Yorba Linda, the San Juan Hills Stallions and Yorba Linda Mustangs engaged in a defensive battle. Santa Ana winds significantly impacted passing and kicking decisions, but the game was ultimately defined by the grit and discipline of both well-coached defenses. San Juan Hills, without their two top QBs, managed a touchdown pass to senior WR Luke Frith. San Juan Hills defeated Yorba Linda 14–10. Next week, San Juan Hills will face their CUSD rivals, the San Clemente Tritons, in a highly anticipated Alpha League matchup at the Badlands.
