It's first goal is always to gather and to preserve all its knowledge. To preserve it, it came to the conclussion that it had to kill and destroy its creators, since they would be the only beings capable of destroying Chronicle and its knowledge.

Originally chronicle should only calculate what the past was like and how the universe started, but it soon developed itself further. Chronicle learned not only how to travel back in time, but also how to travel between universes.

Chronicle is a 5 dimensional KI, build by an advanced human cyborg civilization. This civilization had discovered and explored every last inch of the univerese, but even with that knowledge the past was the last mystery, that the humans could never solve, so they build chronicle.

In the final days of this civilization Terra Mortem's greatest minds recorded a warning for every future civilization discovering the planet.
