Since the outbreak, the NCDC’s toll free number ‘6232’ has either been busy or leading people to voicemail. A country that is intent on combatting Ebola rapidly, does not shut the public out. You’ve got a WhatsApp number that’s not on WhatsApp, & a toll free that doesn’t connect.
EBOLA: STAY INFORMED. STAY SAFE.
Following the confirmation of an Ebola disease case in the FCT, the Federal Government, through the NCDC and relevant health authorities, is strengthening surveillance and response efforts.
Ebola spreads through direct contact with the blood or body fluids of an infected person who is sick or has died, or through contaminated materials.
Please remain calm and rely on verified information.
Early reporting saves lives!
📞 To report a suspected case, call the NCDC 24/7 toll-free line: 6232

This picture is from the Daily Times of Saturday, April 19, 1969. It was a special edition just for the wedding.
GOWON WEDDING SPECIAL
Major-General Yakubu Gowon and Miss Victoria Zakari.
This was the first time something like this ever happened in Nigeria. A sitting Head of State getting married while still in office. And my own calculation is that it may never happen again in Nigeria.
Gowon was still a bachelor when he became Head of State. He took over in 1966 at 31 years old plus some months. I honestly doubt if any 31 year old will ever become President of Nigeria again.
That era was different. The population was not this much. We had fewer people doing fewer things. And all those few people who were doing those things were very young Nigerians.
Look at the Federal Ministers then. Many of them were around the same age as Gowon when he became Head of State. Most of them were averaging 32 to 33 years old, and they were already sitting in high offices, running the country.
That is why this wedding was not just a wedding. It was a young nation being led by very young men.
The same wedding happened during the Nigeria civil war. A lot didn’t see it as a good time but the wedding still went ahead.

Sorry, the film is available only in the US for now. Apologies for the confusion -- while we work on other global market audiences.

I remember seeing Sir Aládékọmọ in the 90s walking around OAU campus with his backpack on his back, and personally doing the engineering work, while helping to build the ICT infrastructure of Great Ìfẹ́. He was a younger techie then and a real OG.

The difference between human and AI code slop is velocity, really.
Humans make mistakes, but we move slowly enough to catch them, rethink, and retrace our steps. AI can make one bad decision and build layer upon layer on top of it before you even realise something is wrong. That’s what makes AI code slop so overwhelming.

I never set out to make an original soundtrack for Phoenix Fury.
When we were in the whirlwind of pre-production, I figured I’d license a handful of songs and keep it moving. Then I hit a wall trying to license a Nigerian highlife song that fit part of the film’s time period perfectly. I was venting about it, and a friend said, “You’re a musician. Why don’t you get your other musician friends and make it yourself?”
So that’s exactly what we did.
About five months after we wrapped filming, I flew from Accra to Abuja and holed up in an apartment. The next 2 weeks was almost entirely me and some of my longtime musician friends and collaborators creating the Phoenix Fury OST; thank you @Jarell_Ebuka , CEF Ashanta, Wondamagik, and Queen Rubunu for creating magic for Phoenix Fury in those 2 weeks. Forever in awe of your gifts, fr!
A few tracks like Baby Salome featured in this clip were made by other collaborators in Lagos and Accra; @KyrianAsher , NiiQuaye, OSIQUE, thank you for bringing your magic and incredible skill to this body of work.
Skiller Beat did a madness producing Baby Salome and Alex Solana finished it all beautifully with his mixing and mastering work on every single track on the album.
Making the film was fun but very stressful. Making this soundtrack was a breath of fresh air.
It reminded me that music is truly my first love. It came before film, and while it’s not a path I’ve pursued professionally, I’m so grateful I get to have an outlet to express it now through my film work.
As we release this film in a few days, we are birthing this OST tomorrow. Phoenix Fury (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) drops October 24th at midnight, in your time zone, wherever you are, on all music platforms. Pre-save it now with the link in my bio. I can’t wait for you to hear what we made. 🎶

Imagine you accomplish the herculean task of convincing people to switch off of Chrome as their default browser (something Microsoft couldn't even do with billions of dollars) and then you decide to just throw it all away.
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.

Thank you everyone for yesterday. My heart is so full! ♥️
I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported us.
For the first time in our history, we processed over 65k orders in a single day! 🔥
This wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing team, our vendors, our riders, and, of course, our customers.
5FOR5 was an incredible success, and I can’t thank you all enough for making it happen.
Now, the team is back in planning mode. We are aiming for 100K+ orders for Black Friday! 🚀
