Multiple med/pre-med students at the University of Michigan were caught planning to poison future patients if they weren't "aligned with Palestine" while also planning to kill fellow students and teachers.
U of M refused to condemn their actions.
The rhetoric and actions taken by the eight people indicted in the University of Michigan conspiracy case was not just extreme. It was violent, threatening, and openly conspiratorial.
According to the indictment, one defendant said: “I’m gonna be the dirtiest f**king doctor ever.”

After the Shah was overthrown in Iran, one of the first things Ayatollah Khomeini and the mullahs did was legalize pedophilia.
Under the Islamic Republic, Sharia law allows Muslim men to marry and rape 9-year-old girls with the father’s consent. Khomeini endorsed it and made it state policy.
This is not a distortion of Islam but mainstream Islamic jurisprudence, taken directly from Muhammad, who married Aisha at 6 and consummated the marriage at 9. Khomeini restored what he saw as authentic Islamic law after the Shah’s modernization of Iran.
This is why the Iranian regime remains beloved by Islamic fanatics and useful idiot communists worldwide. To them, the legalization of child rape is not a bug but a feature. It proves the regime’s commitment to pure Islam without Western compromises.

Stephen Fry has spent years snuggling up to trans ideology while sneering at the women who refuse to play along. He recently decided JK Rowling, a woman who has done nothing more than stand up for women's rights and single sex spaces, is a "lost cause" who got "radicalised by TERFs." The contempt is thick, isn't it?
A self appointed intellectual looking down his nose at a woman for saying biological sex is real and that girls deserve boundaries. There are so, so many of these smug old men it's ridiculous.
This is the same man who, back in 2013 on QI, thought it was funny to recite a limerick about a chaplain whose "real desire was a boy in the choir with a bottom like jelly on springs", which was broadcast minutes before Newsnight ran a report on Jimmy Savile!! How many red flags are needed, exactly? The BBC Trust later called the timing "unfortunate." Unfortunate. 🙄
Then, in 2016 he sat there and told sexual abuse survivors that their self pity got none of his sympathy and that they should "just grow up," casually throwing in the example of an uncle who "touched you in that nasty place."
He apologised later, of course. They always do once the outrage arrives.
This is the same old pattern. The same voices who minimise, joke about, or laugh away the reality of abuse against children are the ones who treat safeguarding and the age of consent as old fashioned inconveniences that can be rewritten when it suits them. Many of us have been saying for years that this erosion was coming. Trans ideology didn't invent it, but it's opened the door wide and given cover to people who want to blur the lines around children, consent and boundaries. And the loudest advocates are often the same ones busy belittling women, dismissing our concerns and tearing down the sex based protections the suffragettes fought for in the first place.
It's not complicated. If you're happy to mock or minimise what happened to children and you're also pushing an ideology that treats sex as optional and safeguarding as bigotry, you don't get to pretend you're on the side of the vulnerable.

Last year I publicly criticized The New Yorker for inviting Hasan Piker to its annual festival, one of the magazine’s prestige events. The same weekend put Salman Rushdie onstage with editor David Remnick, and also featured Jon Stewart, Demi Moore, Keanu Reeves, and Zadie Smith, among other celebrities and influencers. Before that booking, Piker was already a large Twitch personality but he was not yet a fixture of prestige media. The New Yorker did not invent his audience. It did give him something the stream could not: a stamp of respectability from an institution that still decides, for a lot of the professional left, who counts as a serious voice.
I don’t believe in cancel culture. I do believe institutions should be careful about whom they platform. In 2018 the magazine demonstrated it was sensitive to backlash when it pulled its invitation to Steve Bannon. It did not, however, change its mind about Piker. It put him on a genteel roundtable, “The New Political Arena,” about how the internet had reshaped political life. The invitation treated him as a commentator worth that stage even after Jewish organizations had already called out his Israel rhetoric as antisemitism, and even after his 2019 line that “America deserved 9/11.”
People define themselves in part by the photos they choose to post on social media. They put those images up to lock in a brand and advertise what matters to them. Piker did that with both of these pictures. One is a keffiyeh selfie, a political costume that signals solidarity with the Palestinian intifada. The other is from his own 2023 merchandise shoot: tactical vest, rifle prop, dog at his feet. Together they are not a contradiction so much as a portfolio: resistance chic on one side, armed aesthetic on the other. The New Yorker helped turn that portfolio into a credential on his resume. This year, as he has campaigned with DSA candidates and with Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, I keep thinking back to that invitation and unfortunately how it helped elevate Piker as a credible voice on the progressive left.
