Here's the way I see it: rich popufurs ARE why we're in this situation right now. Many of them seem to have come into the community and injected 2010s influencer culture, seeing it less of a space to express yourself and more of an easy way to flaunt wealth by any means possible.

Seeing the same 'I don't get what's wrong' posts as I do with every furry influencer marketing and think it's worth unpacking. You can be fine with this subculture being used to sell you product; but it's worth thinking about what that means for community and who participates.

Influencers are increasingly populating the space and being aided by well meaning Furs prioritising inclusion and secondary interests such as cars. But I do think it's worth being cautious about outside commercial interests entering the space and why they're being facilitated.

Promotion isn't new to Furry, but typically it's with smaller, furry ran brands. I really like that this community promotes, encourages and supports it's grass roots artists and makers. Maclaren is a very different beast!
