Pleased to see Leigh Whelan who played for the @ShelsAcademy U17s I coached a few years ago playing for @MarineAFC in the FA Cup proper. Great experience for a dedicated young man ⚽️🇮🇪
Fair play to @UCDAFC players & staff on promotion. They play really good football & have so many exciting young players ⚽️
In Milan region this week: visited SSO Cedratese, which is linked to AC Milan; saw @intermilan U23 team play in Serie C against Scafatese; watched Como U20 face Atalanta in Primavera 1. I met Ireland U17 striker Josh Harpur there. Impressive young man ⚽️🇮🇹🇮🇪
So dreadful to hear this tragic news. What a remarkable woman. Beyond brave. Condolences to Ciara’s family & loved ones 💔☘️
Ciara Mageean died this morning. A light has gone out in the world. Authentic, talented, decent. Her kindness and wonderful personality was a joy to watch and see. Then came her iconic sporting achievements.
When we sat down with Ciara for the GAA Social in July, she received disappointing news the day before. Ciara didn’t want to cancel, so we recorded on the Tuesday. It’s 90 minutes Oisin & myself will always treasure. She was the best of us.
To Thomas, I’m so sorry. She was mad about you. To the Mageean family, all her great friends and the Portaferry community- what a stunning human being, to call one of your own. This is so unfair.
I’ve never met a person who met Ciara, who didn’t love her. A one off.
After exiting in one cup last night, Arsenal try again in the Coupe de France tonight! The pursuit for trophies never stops! ⚽️😃
Here’s another piece I did on @StFrancisFC as they moved top of their group in the new @LeagueofIreland National League applink.instagram.com/st.fra… 🟩⬜️⚽️

The ECB is set to allow two centrally contracted England cricketers, plus several more English players, to play in the Afghanistan Premier League despite refusing to play international series against the country over the Taliban’s treatment of women and girls

Very disappointing news for Jack Moorhouse when it looked like he was going to kick on this season. Best of luck to him on his battle to recovery ⚽️🇮🇪

Delighted to see Owen Elding win his first Ireland cap. He played twice for the @LongfordTownFC @LongfordClub U20s when I was coach. He was just 15 but stood out. Congrats to him & his family on this achievement ⚽️🇮🇪
