CATS STINGY 2nd-Half Defense Secures Home-Opening Win!
The Thayer Bobcats opened the 2026 season with a 38–20 home victory over the Pocahontas Redskins on Friday night. Thayer’s defense turned up the pressure after halftime, holding Pocahontas in check and allowing the Bobcats to pull away.
Timely offense and a relentless second-half defensive effort powered the Cats to a convincing 1–0 start.

16 year old @cameronam is the AAU District qualifier 100m champ in the 17-19 year old division, in poor sprint conditions.
4x1 team he leads off on, also advanced.
On to regionals in both his events he is competing in!
