Congrats to Genevieve, Harper, Kysen, and Charley! A great way to start our day! Congrats!
There have been many stressful journalism moments over this past year but moments like this make it worth it! So proud to coach these @YutanChieftains! #statechamps #journalism #thatsgonnaleaveamark
While I hate the immense time grading takes from my family life, one of my greatest privileges as an English teacher is really getting to know my students through their personal writings. 🥰 So I guess grading papers is one of the worst and best parts of the job 🤷🏻♀️ #whyiteach
One of the most amazing things about being a teacher is witnessing your students achieve their goals. Congrats to @YutanMeadSB on the championship!! Of the 100s of pics I got at state SB, this one is my fav! #hardworkpaysoff #DreamBig

We enjoyed a well-prepared, interactive presentation during Sharing Day for Morning Meeting! Communication practice, asking and answering open ended questions, and learning from others are vital components as we build confidence in front of peers! #sharingleadstolearning
What an exciting day! 41 total events placing including 8 state champions!! And team champs for the fourth year in a row (yes, that means a clean sweep for the seniors)—so lucky to build on the foundation started by @HenkelRod!
Seniors’ last day of class! This was my smallest English 4 group, but what they lacked in size they made up for in personality and sweatiness 😜 @YutanChieftains #Classof2021 #getsweaty – at Nebraska, USA
Couldn’t be prouder of my students and more relieved that I didn’t screw up the legacy @HenkelRod left behind! #nsaastatejourn #statechamps #threepeat – at Elkhorn, NE

Happy to spend my Saturday morning with these @YutanChieftains volunteering at the Open Door Mission! – at Omaha, NE
We brought a smaller crew than usual due to a snowstorm on the originally scheduled date, but these NHS @YutanChieftains still made a difference helping unload and sort diapers at the @OpenDoorMission today! – at Elkhorn, NE
Got my first graduation invitation in the mail today. Normally my desk would be filling up with hand-delivered invites by now. Just when I think I’ve accepted the situation we’re in, here I am crying again. #teacherproblems #Imissmystudents – at Elkhorn, NE
Annual 8th grade field trip to the SAC Museum, where we toured the Holocaust exhibit, completed anti-bias activities, and listened to Dr. Steve Wees, son of Holocaust survivor Elizabeth Bodek Wees – at Nebraska, USA
Diaper Drive day! @YutanChieftains helped unload and sort diapers donated to the Lydia House
Inspired by the generosity of these @YutanChieftains (and their families) who pooled together to adopt a family for Christmas! #NHS #SpiritofGiving
