If the Pally Flag-shaggers and Letby Flag-shaggers weren't repulsive enough, we've now got Brand Flag-shaggers to add to the mix.
Turns out that it's not just da yoot who don't use headphones but instead just crank up the volume on their phones so everyone gets to listen along with them. Now pensioners get to be ill-mannered pricks too.

I've met Davros twice (I think):
Once when I hosted a Guardian Live event about his book in 2014.
Another time I interviewed him for The Big Issue when I was guest editing in 2015.
He also gave my publishers an endorsement for my book, which I was mortified about at the time mostly because I thought it was so OTT it would obviously invite ridicule (which it did).
At the time I saw him as a crude means to reach disillusioned younger people - the sort of people who wouldn't be reached by conventional journalists and politicians advocating for the policy of exterminating all humans and becoming the supreme power of the universe .
As a result I was willing to overlook, or just not look into, his history of problematic behaviour / statements, including sexism towards Sarah Jane Smith and Romana.

Car drivers: if you reverse quickly into your driveway without checking if it's safe to do so and if, in performing that manoeuvre, you knock me over, I will be shouting and swearing at you whether you think there's any need for it or not. Thank you.
Presumably the BoE decision to increase its base rate is a key part of the government's strategy to bring prosperity to every post code.
