Just a reminder, the one thing that has stopped us from progressing for years, is gone. We'll be back 🦉 #swfc
Not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, 7 SEVEN tweets about something to do with wednesday in 5 hours. League one and still the only thing they can think about. How pathetic #swfc
Pederson would have never got the job as the store manager of our club shop.
The fact he became the manager of the football club is hilarious.
I’m not sad it’s over, I’m glad it happened #twitterblades
What is this sudden obsession with banked corners?
🏁 COTA IS PLANNING A SECOND RACE TRACK!
Circuit of the Americas is developing plans for a new, shorter circuit alongside its existing F1 track in Austin.
The proposed layout could feature a banked corner and an iconic chicane, with a focus on track days and local motorsport.
No opening date has been confirmed.

FWIW, I think the way that some fans have spoken about Henrik Pedersen has been horrible...
Criticism over him as a manager is one thing, and everyone is entitled to that opinion, but some of the personal attacks and insults after what he guided #SWFC through were truly awful.
A fantastic man, who stayed with us during the most horrific of times. My respect will always be with him for that. Thanks for everything 💙 #swfc
Sheffield Wednesday Football Club confirms that Henrik Pedersen has left the club with immediate effect.
Henrik led the first team through an exceptional period in the club's history, providing stability and leadership during a time of significant uncertainty and change.
The club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Henrik for his contribution and wishes him every success in the future.
Sporting Director Simon Wilson said: “First and foremost, I want to thank Henrik for his professionalism, commitment and contribution during an exceptionally challenging period for Sheffield Wednesday.
“We knew the start of this season would be difficult due to the scale of change across the club, but our expectation was always that we would develop as the season progressed, establishing a recognisable style of play and greater consistency in our performances.
“Although we have accumulated points, we haven’t seen enough progress in those areas. We believe making a change now gives us the best opportunity to establish those foundations and build towards the second half of the season and beyond.
“We remain ambitious about what we can achieve this campaign, and our focus remains on building a Sheffield Wednesday team with a clear identity, capable of delivering sustained improvement and long-term success.”
Matt Hamshaw will take interim charge of the first team while the club undertakes the process of appointing its next Head Coach.
The club will provide further updates when appropriate.
So basically,
Sheffield: Home of football, home of snooker, the steel city, national Park within the city, greenest city in the uk
UK
Milton Keynes: Roundabouts
Wrexham: Deadpool
Blackpool: Stag dos pissing in the street.
Must be a tough choice this one
Still a major issue in football. We need to start giving out proper punishments for this shit. #swfc
Club statement: 21 October, 2026
Sheffield Wednesday is aware of racist abuse directed towards the family of one of our players on social media following last night’s fixture.
We stand unequivocally with our player and his family, who have the club’s complete support.
Racism is abhorrent. It has no place in football or in society, and we condemn this abuse in the strongest possible terms.
The comments have been reported to the relevant authorities, with whom we will work to ensure those responsible are identified and held accountable.
This is not the first incident of its kind involving our players, staff and their families this season. The continued targeting of individuals and their loved ones is utterly unacceptable.
Only last weekend, we stood alongside the EFL in supporting its Together Against Racism campaign. Incidents such as this reinforce why collective action and meaningful consequences remain so important.
There can be no tolerance, no excuses and no ambiguity when it comes to racism or discrimination of any kind.
Sheffield Wednesday will continue to stand with those affected and take the strongest possible action against anyone responsible for such abuse.
I guess there is some positives tonight. A lot of the things have been exposed:
-Otegbayo needs a loan desperately
- Jamal Lowe cant play for 3 games which is a huge positive
- Pedersen has had sufficient time now to show improvement on a consistent basis and has failed #swfc
