Today, @ActionAid_Kenya , in partnership with @NYC_YouthVoice , is bringing together young leaders on 15th December at Jacaranda Hotel for the #YouthLeadershipForum 2025.
Under the theme “Creating Safe Spaces, Strengthening Youth Leadership, and Advancing GBV Prevention for Peaceful Communities,” the forum provides a platform for youth to strengthen their leadership skills in GBV prevention and peacebuilding, engage in safe and inclusive dialogue both offline and in digital spaces, and collaborate with youth-led and youth-serving organizations to develop practical, community-based solutions.
Participants will share experiences, gain actionable skills, and work collectively to promote safer, more inclusive, and peaceful communities, and to end violence, including digital violence.

End Digital Violence by understanding that online harm is still GBV. Digital abuse whether through harassment, humiliation, or intimidation, leaves deep emotional wounds and often escalates to offline danger. Naming it is the first step toward justice. #KomeshaGBVnaArt

Absolutely. Creating safe online spaces is crucial for women and girls to thrive. Events like tomorrow’s Art Splash will highlight these challenges while showing how communities can unite to End Digital Violence. #KomeshaGBVnaArt
Online & digital spaces are known to empower women and girls, but the reality is, these spaces have now become a minefield of harassment, abuse, & control.
We need to End Digital Violence by ensuring these spaces act as a source of inspiration & not pain.

As we come to the end of the 16 days of activism, tomorrow @Activista047 in collaboration with @NivalishePadKe will be convening young people at our youth space to speak on how #KomeshaGBVnaArt can be a progressive tool to bring to light healing and speaking out using art.
