I just had an appointment with my doctor and of course I brought along a member of the city council to advise. Thanks Dr. Oz for the suggestion!

Have you ever stared at a word and it starts to look like nonsense? You know it’s spelled correctly...but...is it? Well, there’s a name for that.

In 1922, neighbours heard screams coming from a house in the affluent LA area of Layfette Park. When the police arrived, they found Fred Oesterreich dead & his wife Dolly locked inside in a closet. They were certain Dolly had done it, but they had no idea how. Thread

I'm curious how others managing library operations are approaching staffing issues related to climate change?

I did some Halloween shopping on Etsy a few weeks ago. After placing my orders, I saw that all of the items were coming from Ukraine, one of them from Kharkiv! I'm astonished that I've got everything or it is in transit.

I had mixed feelings about getting superfluous items from a war zone, but a letter that came with some glass spiders from Venus Glass Art in Kyiv made clear the importance of this income. So if you looking for some cool Halloween decor, maybe check it out venusglassart.com/collection…
Hearing @lizzo play some of the Library's priceless antique instruments on Monday was such a gift, and we were honored and happy to help her share that gift with her concert audience Tuesday night. Here is some more behind-the-scenes footage of her Library tour. #LizzoAtLOC

I ordered some Halloween stuff off Etsy. After placing the order I saw it was coming from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Not sure what to expect with that. Amazed they’re selling though.
Make sure to read the alt text too!

At a bar where they are playing Hanson’s “Mmmbop” and I have rediscovered a special distain I thought was firmly buried in the detritus of the 90s. Ugh
