I wouldn't buy a cord of wood from Susan Collins. And I sure as hell wouldn't vote for her for U.S. Senate.

Florida's had a Republican governor since 1999.
That's 27 years. Your home insurance bill can tell you how that's going, unless you've got a yacht, in which case things are going great.
Florida needs new leadership, and David Jolly's close enough to make Tallahassee nervous.

RACISM AND FEAR-MONGERING
As we enter the last days of this campaign, it is becoming increasingly clear that Trump and his Republican allies have virtually nothing to say about the enormous crises facing our country. Think about it:
Unprecedented income and wealth inequality. Nothing to say.
60% of our people living paycheck to paycheck. Nothing to say.
The highest rate of child poverty of any major country. Nothing to say.
A broken, dysfunctional and wildly expensive healthcare system. Nothing to say.
A corrupt campaign finance system in which billionaires buy elections. Nothing to say.
The existential threat of climate change. Nothing to say.
An uncontrolled AI run by the wealthiest people on earth. Nothing to say.
So, if you are unable to address the issues that impact tens of millions of American families, what do you do? What kind of campaign do you run?
You do what demagogues over the ages have always done. You resort to fear-mongering, racism and dividing people up. That is exactly what Trump, Vance and Republican candidates are doing.
I did a rally in Michigan last week with Abdul. In the 20 minutes I was watching television in Grand Rapids there were 5 disgusting and racist ads against him. Five ads in 20 minutes! According to the ads, Abdul was unfit to serve in the U.S. Senate because he is a Muslim, a “terrorist,” a “jihadist” and God knows what else.
In Florida, the Republican campaign against Angie Nixon and her supporters is that Angie is a “communist” who hates our country and does not believe in freedom. Lies, lies and more lies.
There are four days left in this campaign — the most important midterm election in modern history. We have to defeat the most dangerous president in American history. We have got to defeat the lies, fear-mongering and racism of the Republican Party.
Let’s do it.

This is what I've always loved about @RoKhanna. He has the guts to take stands even if it will upset his colleagues. Andrew paints this as political move, but Ro was the first sitting member of the House to join Justice Democrats back in 2017 and endorse AOC and Cori Bush against incumbents back then -- which got him a LOT of crap from establishment Dems.
Very few progressives in the House have the guts to go against their own colleagues to challenge the establishment. It's uncomfertable. But it's necessary if we want to change the Democratic Party.
SCOOP: Rep. Ro Khanna, in the final stretch of the 2026 midterms, is endorsing against his House colleagues in three of California's Dem vs. Dem runoffs.
He tells @axios he's backing:
Eric Jones in #CA04
Mai Vang in #CA07
Angela Gonzales-Torres in #CA34

Nobody portrayed leadership better than Captain Picard. Undoubtedly the most influential character of my youth. I watched every episode of TNG like clockwork every Saturday evening. So many nuggets of wisdom that no other show in history could match this level of humanity. A large part of my learning came from this show that lasted for 7-seasons. Tribute to the Captain! ❤️🙏

My best friend asked me why I like Star Trek more than Star Wars, and it was always because of scenes like this. Trek is like a constant thought experiment of what humanity could be when pushed to its limits. I enjoy both, but Trek hits so much harder on a personal level for me.

When it comes to Star Trek, one of the most profound episodes would have to be The Measure of a Man (season 2 episode 9 if I recall correctly.) This is the episode that puts Data on trial to see if he is sentient, a being, or property.
In the episode, Ryker is sadly, on the side of those wanting to take Data apart, and during the trial he asks for permission to remove Data’s hand, when he does, he says… “The Commander is a physical representation of a dream; an idea conceived of by the mind of a man. Its purpose to serve human needs and interests…”
Picard is fighting for Data, and after Ryker’s argument, Picard calls for a recess and of course, goes and speaks with Guinan who says to him… “Consider that in the history of many worlds there have always been disposable creatures. They do the dirty work. They do the work that no one else wants to do, because it is too difficult or it is too hazardous, and an army of Data’s is all disposable. You don’t have to think about their welfare. You don’t have to think about how they feel. Whole generations of disposable people. For which Picard’s responds with… “You’re talking about slavery.”
This episode should be required watching for anyone who works within the AI and/or robotics industries around the world. Because they are guiding the future, and the choice is simple, we can have a future with many like Data, or a future with a new race of slaves.
In honor of the late Sir Patrick Stewart, I leave the best closing argument of all… RIP Patrick!
