9 THINGS TO IMPROVE YOUR SUCCESS IN TARKOV RAIDS: I was going to reply to this tweet directly, but ended up writing an essay so put it here instead: 1) Painkiller at all times - now also possible early due to analgins having no water downside 2) Audio management - knowing what sounds are audible at what distances 3) Watching deaths back & going to that part of the map in an offline raid to check out the area if you don't know it very well 4) Be happy to retreat from a fight. Often better to leave & reposition where you have an advantage than try to press a mediocre situation 5) Important especially for solo: flank all the time. People get fixated on your last position, and if you fire from a few spots it makes it harder for them to work out that it's only one of you 6) You don't have to loot PMC bodies. If you think they might have a friend, they probably do, and that friend will sit there for 25 minutes to avenge their buddy. The gear 99% of the time isn't worth the risk. A bag of bolts usually ends up making you more than someone's bodged AK with a HAMR on top 7) When not in combat, don't run IF your audio would give you away to people behind things that you cannot see. However, you do have to manage your sight lines - it's much easier to one tap a walking player than a running one from a distance. So use the terrain and foliage to minimise the possible angles on you as you move around. Be deliberate about it 8) Always have a plan. Ask yourself every 10 seconds "where will I go if I get shot at right now"? After a while it becomes second nature. Stops you getting caught out in stupid places randomly as much 9) Use good ammo. Unless going for legs, the top ammo in your mags should be at least 35 pen, otherwise you'll ding off people's helmets. Lower down rounds can be lower quality otherwise you'll likely run out as an inexperienced player, but those top rounds are key for sudden PMC fights
