Flock camera pings the wrong Durango, and 23 year-old woman spends 13 days in jail for a crash she didn’t cause.
Lindsey Brooke Isaacs was 23, asleep in her Palm Coast apartment, when Florida Highway Patrol troopers pounded on the door. They told her her black Dodge Durango had killed three people on I-4 near DeBary on October 4, 2025. A motorcyclist and Flagler County official Jorge Salinas and his wife.
She said they had the wrong person. Her SUV was almost new. No crash damage. She asked them to show her the damage. They wouldn’t let her look. They towed the car anyway.
What they had was a Flock automated license plate reader hit.
A camera three miles west of the wreck logged her plate at 9:51 p.m. The crash was around 9:53. That timing should have cleared her, as she was already past the scene. Instead, it became the case.
Witnesses and a 911 caller described a maroon Durango and a partial plate starting 458. Struck vehicles had maroon paint. Isaacs’ plate was RJVN10. Her Durango was black. Investigators searched Flock for a black Durango anyway, locked onto the first one they found, and ran with it.
They alleged “marks consistent with a collision.” Photos of the car in the impound lot later showed no such damage. They never pulled the event data recorder that would have shown no collision. They omitted the maroon description and the timing from the story that put her in handcuffs.
April 17, 2026: arrest warrant. Eight felonies, including three counts of vehicular homicide. Held without bond. Thirteen days in Volusia County Jail, including solitary, she later told the Senate, in a cell with feces on the walls. Facing what she was told could be life.
April 29: $250,000 bond.
May 22: prosecutors drop every charge. Same day, they arrest Alisa Lee Montalvo of Deltona who owned a maroon Durango, plate beginning 458, damage that actually matches.
Isaacs is suing the two FHP sergeants who built the case. This week she testified in the U.S. Senate about Flock’s nationwide ALPR network.

Random Take: College football is just levels ahead of the NFL as far as a product. Yes the football of the NFL is better. But it's just so hard to go from watching the pure emotion of Ole Miss/LSU last night to the lifeless corporate product of the NFL. I like the NFL but it's just not the same, even with all of the stuff happening in cfb.

Nfl has a major problem on their hands. Injuries are out of hand. Been getting worse by the year. But the amount of backup QBs already playing in mid September is how the consumer changes the channel

I was curious how many people were in the twin towers when the planes hit: about 17,400.
a death toll of ~2800 from the towers now seems absolutely miraculous.
this was due to the efforts of FDNY, NYPD, and some extraordinary everyday people.

🚨BREAKING: ESPN's Dan Orlovsky goes SCORCHED EARTH on the CORRUPT Big Ten.
"Everything about that [Big Ten's Time Add Justification] feels like it's lying to me, everything about that. Just from common sense... I have no idea how the Big Ten justifies."

the study is actually much worse. 1712 former NFL players died between 2008 and 2021. 338 donated their brains for postmortem examination. of the 338, 315 had CTE. that is 93.2%.
At least 1 in 4 former NFL players in a new study developed CTE, a neurological condition caused by repeated head impacts.
It can cause cognitive impairments, behavioral and mood changes, and is linked to dementia.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
1 in 4 is a minimum based on the study size. Among the brains studied, CTE damage was found in 91.5%.
"Between 2016 and 2021, a total of 878 former NFL players died. Of those, 235 donated their brains to research. From the group of 235, 215 players brains had CTE."

Heart broken for my friends. Truly the biggest piece of shit to walk the earth. More and more people are coming forward exposing Jeff Todd for the gutless pussy he is. Fuck him and if you’re friends with this guy fuck you too. No dog deserves this treatment.

A major innovation of the West was its high-trust systems. You could walk into any business, any stall, no matter how large or small, and see the ticket price for a good. It would be the same for everyone, perfectly fair.
That world we grew up in was stolen from us.
🦔Delta's CEO said AI will boost profits by 50% by setting a different ticket price for every passenger in real time. The airline uses an AI system called Fetcherr that generates a unique price for each shopping request. Delta told Congress last year it was not using personal data for individualized pricing. Its investor presentation described building toward offers for "you, the individual." Airlines are exempt from FTC pricing oversight.
My Take
This is what AI does for a company like Delta. It doesn't make your flight better or your bag show up faster. It watches how you shop and figures out the most you'll pay before you close the tab. Consumer Reports found Uber and Lyft charging 42% different prices for the same ride at the same time, and the House Oversight Committee found one case where two people got quoted $76 and $24 for the same trip. Delta is building the airline version of that, and every carrier will follow because the economics are too good to pass up.
Walmart told us this week that families are choosing between gas and groceries at $4 a gallon. Delta's answer to those same families is an algorithm that squeezes them for every dollar they have left. Airlines are exempt from FTC pricing rules, state laws are preempted by federal deregulation, and the CEO told Congress one thing while telling investors another. When people ask me where the trillions going into AI actually end up, I think Delta just gave us one of the most honest answers we've gotten.

History: the Browns are waiving tight end Dae’Quan Wright and, if he clears waivers, he has an agreement in place for the 2026 season to play for LSU, per agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln.
Wright is believed to be the first player who could play for an NFL team, and then go back to play in college.
Damn - no surprise pre-order signatures from the boys… but happy to support as always!!!
