Three Resident Evil games. Just 55.9 GB combined 👀 The reported Switch 2 eShop download sizes are: • Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition — 14.0 GB • Resident Evil 3 — 12.9 GB • Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition — 29.0 GB That’s less than the advertised capacity of a single 64 GB Switch 2 cartridge. And yet, all three Japanese physical releases are confirmed as Game-Key Cards. Western physical formats are still unconfirmed. Of course, download sizes don’t tell the whole story, but when even games this small aren’t getting full-on-cart releases, it’s hard not to question these decisions. @capcom_official , we’d love to see these games fully on cartridge. Would you buy all three if they were released full-on-cart? 🎮

Final Fantasy Resonance was one of my most anticipated games for the end of the year. So happy to see it getting such good reviews and capturing that JRPG spirit I fell in love with as a kid ❤️ But buying it feels bittersweet. I chose the Switch version to own the game on cartridge, even though I’d much rather play the enhanced Switch 2 version. Why should keeping a proper cartridge mean missing out on those improvements? There’s no upgrade path — I’d have to buy the game again. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake got a free update with Switch 2 improvements. Why couldn’t we have something similar here? And what happens when Square Enix stops releasing games on the original Switch? I bought Elliot on PS5, but with new PlayStation disc releases ending in January 2028, that alternative won’t last either. I love these games. It’s sad to feel that collecting them the way I always have is becoming harder. Please, @SquareEnix , reconsider. We shouldn’t have to choose between owning the cartridge and enjoying the better version.

What a week for physical Switch 2! 🔥 For a moment, it looked like we weren’t going to get many announcements… then we ended up adding SEVEN new entries to GameCartDB. And that’s quite a lineup: • Go-Go Town! Nintendo Switch 2 Edition • HASTE • Order of the Sinking Star • Denshattack! • Croc: Legend of the Gobbos – Platinum Edition • Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos • Hitman: Absolution Denshattack!, Order of the Sinking Star and HASTE are the ones I’m most excited to add to my collection 🔥🔥🔥 Which ones are on your wishlist? 👀

Cartridge check: MIO’s European Switch 2 release! 🔍 An owner reports v1.1.1.0 on their European retail copy, matching the version found on the North American cartridge. There’s also a reported 962 MB update to v1.2.0.0, and the European release has a reversible cover. @DoesItPlay1 already tested this version on the North American cart and completed the main story without updating, with no major issues during that playthrough. It would’ve been great to see a more up-to-date build from @pixnlove_games , but knowing this version has already been played through from the US cart is still an encouraging sign for collectors! Big thanks to @boris_dg for the heads-up on this one! 💚

This is no longer just a UK thing! 👀 Retailers in Spain and France are now listing revised Zelda 40th Anniversary hardware too — the Switch 2 console and Pro Controller, with new product references and user-replaceable batteries. Nintendo Support has confirmed the revisions, although we’re still waiting for Nintendo to publicly address these specific Zelda versions. It does make me wonder… could Nintendo be looking to keep this anniversary hardware around for longer after seeing the response, rather than making it a blink-and-you-miss-it release? If that means more fans can actually get their hands on these without all the FOMO, I’m all for it. Would love to see everyone who wants one have a proper chance! 💚 And what about NA — will these revised versions make their way over there too?

North America is now showing a later date too. 👀 Following the European date change, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault’s physical Switch 2 edition is now listed for November 27 in North America. 🇺🇸🇨🇦 November 13 → November 27, 2026 That brings both regions’ listings into line. A little longer to wait for that physical copy! Still a retailer date for now, pending confirmation from the publisher.

All the DLC codes have now been given out! 🎁 Thank you so much for the response! My DMs have been absolutely packed, so I’m sorry I haven’t managed to reply to everyone. I’m also sorry to those who couldn’t redeem a code because they didn’t have a European account — unfortunately, the codes were region-locked. Thanks to everyone who reached out. Hopefully this won’t be the last time I get to share a little something with this community! ❤️ You’re the best!! 🔥🔥

Double Croc for the Switch 2 shelf! 🐊 PM Studios is bringing physical Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of both: • Croc Legend of the Gobbos – Platinum Edition • Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos Those two covers together are bringing back some serious ’90s nostalgia. Huge props to @PMStudiosUSA — they just keep delivering for Switch 2. What a lineup they’re building! 🔥

Minishoot’ Adventures, The Midnight Walk… and now HASTE! 🏃 HASTE is joining @SuperRareGames’ physical Switch 2 lineup as release #03, with the game on cartridge. 📅 Preorders open October 29 at 6pm GMT 📦 Estimated shipping: January 2027 5,000 standard copies and 2,000 Special Editions, with a reversible cover, full-colour manual and numbered slipcover included with the standard game. Three very different games to kick off their Switch 2 collection. Loving the variety so far!

I’ve got several Final Fantasy Resonance DLC codes for the original Nintendo Switch to give away to the community! 🎁 If you’d like one, my DMs are open — just drop me a message! If there are more requests than codes, priority will go to members of the community 🙂

Well, that didn’t take long! 👀 Just yesterday we were hoping Order of the Sinking Star would get a European physical release too… and now it’s confirmed! 🇪🇺 Nintendo Switch 2: Q1 2027 🇺🇸🇨🇦 North America: 2027, possibly around the same time, although no specific window has been confirmed yet. The highly rated puzzle adventure from the creator of Braid and The Witness is heading our way! 💚

FINALLY! It’s here!! 🥹 I’ve been looking forward to MIO: Memories in Orbit ever since I first saw it in a Nintendo Direct back in 2024! After seeing how difficult it was to get a copy in North America, I was genuinely worried we might miss out on a European physical release. But here we are! Both Switch and Switch 2 editions, and with a beautiful special first-print cover! Definitely worth the wait! 💚

Big news for puzzle fans! 🧩 Order of the Sinking Star, the highly rated puzzle game from the creator of Braid and The Witness, is getting a full-cart Switch 2 release in North America in 2027, in partnership with @PMStudiosUSA ! 🇺🇸🇨🇦 With such impressive review scores from players, it’s great to see this one getting a physical edition! Hopefully Europe follows, just like Coffee Talk Tokyo and Yooka-Replaylee! 🇪🇺

Another date change for European Switch 2 collectors! Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault has been pushed back once again in Europe, now arriving two weeks later than originally planned. 🇪🇺 Europe: November 20 → November 27, 2026 🇺🇸🇨🇦 North America: November 13, 2026 (still listed) Hopefully this is the last delay!

Looks like the timeline has shifted a little for Steins;Gate Re:Boot! ⏳ The Nintendo Switch 2 physical release has a new date listed for Europe, while North America remains unchanged. 🇪🇺 Europe: October 29 → November 3, 2026 🇺🇸🇨🇦 North America: October 29, 2026 (still listed) Just a few extra days of waiting for European collectors!

It looks like it's a few days early 😏

We already know which one was the next one we were missing 😄

Another Switch 2 cartridge check! 🔥 🌱 Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea (European edition, rev. 00) 💾 On cartridge: v1.1.0 ⬇️ Available update: v1.2.0 (~3.8 GB download) Huge thanks to @boris_dg for sharing these findings! We've added the details to GameCartDB 🎮

We had a feeling this was coming, but now it’s confirmed! 👀 Fangamer Europe has confirmed that Denshattack! is also getting a physical release for Nintendo Switch 2 in Europe in 2027! 🇪🇺 💚 Full game on cartridge It's one of the indie games I was most looking forward to!

22 games. TWENTY-TWO! 🤯 The original Nintendo Switch is in a league of its own, with PS4 and Xbox 360 far behind at 12. And here’s what’s crazy: PS5 is nearly 6 years old, yet Switch 2 has already matched its reported 10M+ tally in just 16 months! Could Switch 2 ever reach 22? 🔥
