And this whole “it's just a persona” excuse is disingenuous. Ember themselves said during the reveal that this is who they are. Yes, they also admitted they're unsure whether they're trans. But if someone is genuinely struggling with their gender identity, how exactly is encouraging them to continue presenting as the opposite sex supposed to help them?
You can treat Ember with dignity and respect without affirming something that they're not

From what I saw, BioWare was making Mass Effect for us, the fans, not for people who don't exist.
