Started camp with our high school kids this week, first time teaching them tackling. So much of it is just coordination and timing. Dropping pad level, then stepping into contact instead of bracing into it. Getting the body organized enough to be square and strike through, that's the skill. The video's a great example. First kid braces, feet stop, the power leaks. Second kid steps into it with the right timing. Different hit completely. Subtle, but real.
