Simon Heffer reviewing Liz Truss’s new book for the Torygraph: “Of all the books I have ever reviewed that purported to offer a serious thesis, this is without question the most deranged. If you are seeking a Christmas present for someone you really don’t like, give them a copy.”

CQC are too banging on GPs doors telling them they are shit and useless as they have a fucking felt notice board. Meanwhile trusts are bringing in Llamas who shit up the corridor, put it on their social media profile, get an award from HSJ and the CEO gets a fucking knighthood.

It seems strange that there is such warranted concern about staff access to records and breaches of confidentiality, yet totally random people looking to profit from patient data have full access to patient records even if patients explicitly state they refuse Palantir access
NHS England has said that you cannot opt out of Palantir having your medical data and they refuse to review their policy. So if you live in England, Palantir, Donald Trump, Netanyahu and co have access to all your medical data. Nobody voted for this.

August 2014 Jeremy Hunt was busy pushing PAs. Never forget😳

What??? What did you do?? I became a family doctor in 2003- and remain so.. It’s you and your predecessors and successors who have harped on about access when we know our strength re continuity of care. And it doesn’t help when govt and MSM demonise GPs, prompting numbers to drop

2004 wasn’t the time Family Doctors were scrapped 2010 seems to be the moment the decline started @Jeremy_Hunt you failed because you didn’t invest in GPs Funding was cut 2014-2024 by 20% per patient, training more but no funding to retain Then there was funding of ARRS 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ah, but Jeremy Hunt really is an expert in public deception. He could run a masterclass on publicly lying through your teeth, and it’s the one topic that he could teach on that would be nearly worth the predictably extortionate attendance fee he’d charge.

It is hugely frustrating to see the person who was the longest serving SoS for Health @Jeremy_Hunt paraded out on almost every media channel as a bastion of patient safety - from maternity, to pandemic preparedness etc. Many of the issues we currently have started on his watch!
Unregulated expansion of PAs started in 2015 It took 10 years to finally get the Leng Review 15m after being published it is still not being followed, sadly there are some who are still pushing for undiagnosed (undifferentiated) patients to be seen first by PAs in GP practices0

You turbo charged their replacement with two year trained PAs because you restructured NHS as a fragmented second class service buying in not providing. No longer Comprehensive Universal or National, core foundations of the original NHS. You lie so easily. It's infuriating.

It should be a privilege and honour to do it for free (or poor pay) innit? Oh wait, how much did some in management get for redundancies recently? How much are paid to the management consultancies? Only frontline staff get guilt tripped into poor pay
It utterly baffles me as to why some think that the NHS doesn't obey the basic laws of economics.

Compounded by his manoeuvring to have Charlie Massey at the helm of the GMC. This appointment was the final nail for any semblance of standards in our health care service

And now this MP has the audacity to present himself as the patients champion. Horrifying hypocrisy

You funded 10000 new posts for PAs, and funded their degrees, while NOT funding new doctors to be trained as GPs. You even published on how to dismantle the NHS. You knew exactly what you were doing.

You literally pledged to expand PAs, who are medically unqualified and replaced family doctors, despite having no evidence that they are safe to do so. You made a problem substantially worse. Stop pretending to care about patients.

It was a disastrous mistake in 2004 to scrap family doctors. I tried and failed to bring them back. Will this government do any better?

It’s always “coulda, woulda, shoulda” from you. A reminder of the NHS you inherited in 2012 & how you left it in 2018.

The useless arseholes at the @BBC are to scrap #BBCRadio4Extra in a money saving exercise. But will carry on pouring money into myriad mind numbing pieces of televisual wank that pander to the less intellectually endowed. Absolute tossers.
