โค๏ธ My beautiful boy deserves to be remembered with love, not hate. โค๏ธ
Yesterday, a Coventry fan used a photograph of Bradley to taunt Sunderland supporters.
As Bradleyโs mam, this is heartbreaking, especially as itโs one of my favourite photographs of him. Just look at that smile.
I remember that day like it was yesterday. He was so happy, having so much fun. Those moments were precious because they were few and far between. So much of Bradleyโs short life was spent battling cancer and enduring treatments no child should ever face.
To see such a beautiful memory used in such a cruel way really does make my heart hurt. ๐
We are a football-loving family who follow Sunderland home and away. Iโm all for football banter, but surely mocking a child who died from cancer is not banter?
I hope the club takes appropriate action and the young ladโs family help him understand how hurtful his actions were. I donโt want hatred directed towards him, so please please don't, just for him to learn from this.
Behind that photograph is a little boy who was loved beyond measure and a family who miss him every day.
Thank you to everyone who has defended Bradley and shown us so much love. It means more than you know. โค๏ธ
What some people donโt realise is that Bradleyโs story didnโt end when his life did.
Because of Bradley, childrenโs lives are being saved, hundreds of families have received vital support, and children facing unimaginable battles are being given hope.
Through Super Bradโs Pad, families can escape hospital life, spend precious time together and make memories that last forever.
That is Bradleyโs legacy. The difference my little boy continues to make in this world. No amount of cruelty will ever take that away.
So rather than let this photograph be remembered for hatred, I want it remembered for what it truly represents.
My beautiful little boy, enjoying one of the happiest days of his life, with the biggest smile on his face. ๐
That is how I want the world to remember him.

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on โAmerican Dad!โ, โFamily Guyโ, and โTedโ. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyoneโs would be. I said, โPatrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.โ We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

When Sunderland travelled to Cardiff City in March 2007, Niall Quinn was chairman of a club that had been completely transformed under Roy Keane.
They had started the season at the bottom of the Championship, but were now pushing for promotion, and hundreds of supporters had made the journey to Wales.
Sunderland won 1-0, and around 100 fans headed to Bristol Airport afterwards for their flight back to Newcastle.
Quinn was travelling on the same flight with some of his staff, while the players had already flown home.
And when the supporters spotted their chairman at the airport, they started singing.
โNiall Quinnโs disco pants are the best.โ
โThey go up from his a**e to his chest.โ
โTheyโre better than Adam and the Ants.โ
โNiall Quinnโs disco pants.โ
It was a song that had followed Quinn around since his playing days, and the supporters were in a particularly good mood after the victory.
But the airline staff were not quite so impressed.
The singing continued as everyone boarded the easyJet plane, and concerns were raised about the passengersโ behaviour.
The police were called.
Officers boarded the aircraft and removed 12 supporters, including one man with learning difficulties and another who had been waving his artificial leg in celebration.
Quinn was furious about the way they were being treated.
He insisted the supporters were simply celebrating their teamโs victory and had not been causing trouble.
โThe mood was humorous and everyone was in good spirits after our fine victory.โ
But the flight had already been delayed, and shortly before eleven oโclock the captain announced that it was being cancelled.
The supporters were now stranded at Bristol Airport, more than 300 miles from home, with no flight available until the following day.
Among them were children, elderly supporters and people with disabilities.
Quinn initially tried to arrange coaches to get everyone back to the North East, but that proved impossible.
So he decided to sort it out another way.
He arranged a fleet of taxis.
Around 14 ordinary taxis and four six-seater minibuses were organised to take the supporters all the way back to Wearside.
And Quinn was covering the bill.
In total, it came to approximately ยฃ8,000.
One Sunderland supporter could hardly believe what their chairman had done.
โIt must have cost a fortune but it shows again that heโs the most decent bloke in football.โ
Another fan had been telling people earlier that evening that he loved Quinn so much he would give him a kidney.
After discovering what the chairman had arranged, he changed his offer.
โThe blokeโs a legend.โ
โHe can have both of my kidneys!โ
Quinn stayed at the airport making sure the supporters were being looked after and that everybody had a way home.
Only once the others were sorted did he finally leave himself.
The following day, he defended the Sunderland supporters and explained why he had stepped in.
โThe club was happy to provide transport back to the north-east for the group.โ
โTheir safety and wellbeing was paramount.โ
And despite everything that had happened, Quinn still found a way to remind everyone why they had been celebrating in the first place.
โTo any fans who still feel aggrieved, remember the three points came home as well.โ
