Dear Humanity.
We regret being grub bastards. We regret coming to the surface, and we most definitely regret that the COG blew up our raggedy-ass horde!

been discouraged by the conversation about YCSE. people who left the movie feeling saddened that elizabeth holmes is in prison are not "marks." they are people who glimpsed how cruel prison is even at its most palatable, even when used to cage the least sympathetic person
for bkmag, wrote about you can see everything as a movie about prison bkmag.com/2026/10/21/you-can…

Heartbreaking. So many fond memories from BioWare games — as a designer inspired by their craft and as a gamer who loved immersing in their worlds. I hope the folks affected by the closure feel the love and support today. ❤️

CDPR stand on the BioWare booth at E3 2004
Bioware has been a massive part of CDPR history. We befriended them when localizing and selling Baldur’s Gate games in Poland, Czech, and Slovakia. And later they were great help when lending us their engine for Witcher 1, sharing their wisdom and even giving us a spot at their booth at E3. I had a pleasure to visit them a few times in Edmonton and also host them in our Warsaw office. Very sad for the people affected, but also sad to see a legendary brand go down. Not a great day in the games industry.

No mention of the game that's been going for almost fifteen years, that supported the studio and all of its projects with income and manpower and time (sometimes to our own detriment). Heartbreaking.

there are so many great nathan fielder moments

Someone in @jhaletweets and @Mark_Meer's livestream was talking about how Mass Effect saved their life. Both of them said "you saved your life, we're just honored to be a part of the journey."
We don't deserve these gems guys 😭

I‘m also thinking of geoff keighley who put himself out there to defend Mass Effect live on tv

A man attending the Theranos trial told me and other reporters covering the case that his name was “Hanson,” and that he fixed up old cars for a living. He said he was a “concerned citizen,” and that the judge had it out for Elizabeth Holmes.
I had questions, so I looked into him and found he was a San Diego hotelier who collected antique cars.
His son was Billy Evans, Holmes’ romantic partner and the father of her children.

Here's a part of the Obsidian 20th anniversary documentary where the founders discuss BioWare helping to get the company going.

When I broke the story that imprisoned Elizabeth Holmes and Billy Evans were secretly forming a new startup to get back into the medical device industry, Evans fought me hard over Holmes’ involvement, saying she was on the outside of it and not an advisor. Which is why it was quite striking when, minutes into You Can See Everything, Fielder captures Holmes making calls about the new startup….

my absolute favorite thing about nathan’s career is that throughout his projects, you see the formation and development of his crowning achievement, The Fielder Method. The Rehearsal isn’t about rehearsals at all it is about The Fielder Method and you can see it forming here

Fucking cancel this. I'm sorry but WHY? Mass Effect is dead. That story line is dead since it was going to connect to ME5, so what's the fucking point?
BREAKING: The Mass Effect video game franchise may have come to an end with the shocking demise of BioWare, but IGN can exclusively reveal that its future on the small screen remains possible. Sources inside Prime Video have confirmed that the Mass Effect television series remains in development at Amazon MGM Studios. bit.ly/4zPa7w0

RIP BioWare. This was coming but so sad to read. The growing problemfor large publishers is that smaller AAA games won’t bring enough money so can’t take the risk on them, but not doing original games? We need those, need new franchises.
