Genysism

It has been a long time, but I am still working on The Orville reviews. I put together a quick update explaining the delays, the new video format moving forward, and how I am updating my writing process. You can read the full post here: genysism.com/2026/06/channel…

So @KraftHeinzCo rebranded their "Maxwell House" coffee to "Maxwell Apartment" because more Americans are OPTing for apartment living. Dafuq? OPT? DO YOU FUCKING THINK I *WANT* AN APARTMENT OVER A HOUSE? No, I just can't afford it because Capitalism is fucking over housing.

A little late, but finally saw the trailer for #StarTrekVoyager Across the Unknown. And I am not impressed yet. It screams yet another cheap knock-off microtransaction-ridden game, with similar concerns as I had when #StarTrekInfinite was announced and then had a terrible release

.@NintendoAmerica @Nintendo desperately needs to add a "Report Name" option so people like this can be dealt with appropriately. I'm not against people having fun with their names, but there are limits.

So... @BestBuy decided it was best to ship my pre-ordered #NintendoSwitch2 today... To arrive tomorrow... So the stream may not have Mario Kart World. I'm frustrated because I expected pre-ordering to arrive on launch day, albeit in the afternoon.

Random throwback on Monday: My first win in the indie game I helped to beta test for almost a year, Take the Throne. twitch.tv/videos/881971285 Reminder: #ExtraLife stream coming soon, more details to come.

The fact that @gamestop doesn't have the #Switch2 at the top of the page shows just how uncommitted to video games they are.

Hey @trekonlinegame, either this is a mix-up on the new Earth model and textures, or an awful place to put the seam for the texture. It's visible to the immediate left of the station and drew my attention - and I'm usually oblivious to things I'm not looking at.

Hey @StarTrekOnPPlus... your shop is just all wrong. "Next Generation" necklace? No, that's Enterprise. "Original Series" blueprints? That's a Defiant-class and again Enterprise. Who runs this shop? They need to understand what they put up or we all just sit and laugh.

Welp. Due to @photomatt's nuclear war on WPEngine leading to a mass doxxing of every domain there, including staging addresses... Time to cut the cord on @Jetpack and @Automattic. Very frustrating. The benevolent dictator has turned dangerously malevolent.

Voyager was my favorite series. Jeri Taylor (not the Seven of Nine actor) was brought in to help create the series and worked with Kate Mulgrew to develop a strong woman captain for her years on the show. She also wrote TNG's "The Drumhead," an excellent cautionary tale.

Random banner update!

Randomly rewatching old @AltHistoryHub videos; forgot he wrote a book and used to use it in videos with his character. Bring that back, it would be neat to see again.

Hey @dbrand... We're near the hill for the middle of summer and I haven't seen any updates on the Ghost 2.0 case... Can we have an update? I've been holding out for this for a few months now, and you don't have any leftover stock for my phone model....
