Perhaps it’s time for Minnesota to elect a Chief Election Officer who doesn’t play for the Red or Blue teams. Tune in and decide for yourself.

Thank you, @deanbphillips. The insincerity now revealed by many so-called conservatives on this point side stands in sharp contrast.
That’s a scary thought. Regardless, I’d like to see independent analyses to confirm if what I’m seeing anecdotally is truly happening.
Well said.
OK, so he did something I like.
Calling the DOD the Department of War is good, because it makes us look at ourselves more honestly. It hasn’t been a Department of Defense in a very long time.
The Pentagon is the headquarters of a huge, economically motivated war industry. It is in every sense of the word a Department of War.
There are some very good people there, trying their best to keep it aligned with the honorable mission for which the the military was intended. Bravo to those on the inside who are trying their best to keep the faith.
Even today, we learn more about how messed up this was.
A small grocery store threw me out four years ago because I wasn't wearing a mask and would not. I was extremely bitter about this and have not been back.
Finally I went in today. I asked to see the manager. I told her what happened and why I've boycotted for so long.
She deeply apologized and explained that the health department was hounding them hard. Customers were taking pictures in the store and posting to evil Facebook, tagging the mayor. They daily faced shutdowns. They actually worried for a time that anyone WITHOUT a mask might be part of a sting operation.
In other words, they had suspected I was working for the government and testing their compliance.
Can you even believe that we lived through this reality?
In any case, despite all my knowledge, the possibility that the store itself face deep threats that forced the rudeness that led to my having been tossed out actually never occurred to me.
I was touched about the manager's own apologies. I will return, no question.
How long will it take this nation to heal from such ghastliness? How many relationships shattered? How much suffering has ensued? It's awesome to contemplate.

This is all fascinating in light of the No Kings rally: Trump unilaterally attacking Iran without any oversight or approval from Congress would be his most obvious use of king-like powers to date. Will Congress do anything about, it though?

The Libertarian Party strongly condemns Israel’s recent military attacks on Tehran, which it has branded as “preemptive” strikes on what it claims were nuclear-related sites. Multiple reputable outlets report that explosions rocked the Iranian capital early today, and Israel has declared a nationwide emergency amid fears of a retaliatory missile and drone assault.
These aggressive actions dangerously risk dragging the United States into a regional war—one that could escalate into World War III. We are alarmed by Netanyahu’s apparent competition with Zelensky to provoke conflict for political gain, with each hoping that increasing casualties will secure greater U.S. military funding. Such a tactic is reckless and inexcusable.
Libertarians recognize that the Israeli lobby in Washington has long sought justification to draw the U.S. into Middle East warfare, especially with Iran. Today’s events seem designed to pave the way for that narrative. Every taxpayer dollar diverted into endless defense spending simultaneously impoverishes Americans and diminishes our national security — particularly if these provocations pull America toward nuclear brinkmanship with Iran or its allies.
We reject the notion of war as a policy lever. Our philosophy upholds diplomacy, free trade, and legitimate national defense—not foreign interventionism. We call on Washington to:
•Immediately distance the United States from support of further military escalation in the Middle East.
•Reinforce diplomatic efforts rather than military posturing.
•Reverse the erosion of civil liberties and financial health caused by war-driven budget priorities.
•Cease all foreign military aide and seek an exit from all entangling military alliances and pacts.
•Bar foreign lobbyists from doing business in Washington.
The world teeters on the brink of a catastrophic miscalculation. Nuclear war is incompatible with freedom or prosperity. We implore Congress and the Executive Branch to pull us back from this precipice—before it is too late.
Sincerely,
Steven Nekhaila

Such sad news. And he makes a great point about how cruel and thoughtless some people have been in wake of Biden’s announcement.
