Watched this today to find out more about @dannydorling’s new book. Some shocking facts & figures shared about the state of inequality in the UK- well worth a watch for any #geographyteacher
Needless to say, another book added to the TBR pile… 📚

In particular I'm looking at improving fieldwork at KS3 and making our KS4 fieldwork more affordable. Currently we coach students to an FSC centre for a rivers day. Coach alone makes trip v expensive, then adding in tuition. Any suggestions @GeogChat? #gcsefieldwork #aqageography

Something to consider which may help for revision, homework, class content and cover for AQA GCSE (other specs to follow) all made by geography teachers, for geography teachers.

Pulled out the play doh for Y11 to model landforms yesterday: instant morale boost and a sudden interest in how a wave cut platform forms!

Whole school-wise, we have changed the nature of our end-of-year reporting to lighten the workload - when workload increases with 'end of year' activities and challenges #geogchat #ibgeography

Going to be inundated 🤯 unsure how will realistically manage workload in a sustainable way. Doesn’t seem to be much leeway available

Supporting confidence and mental health of staff and students.
Reassuring. Calming. Reinforcing successes and building confidence in process and progress so that no one is anxious.

Reflected on the pressure on staff during this period and I've cancelled end of year exams for KS3 as a result. We're looking at other forms of assessment instead and the relief in this decision is evident from all #GeogChat
