๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ฌ Bayer Leverkusenโ€™s Ibrahim Maza, speaking exclusively to RTL / Sky Sport, on the dream of playing for a club like Paris Saint-Germain one day: โ€œOf course, it would be a huge dream to play for such a big club one day. I think we all know what a huge club Paris is. They are one of the best clubs in the world, alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona and Arsenal. Playing for a club like that is something not only I am working towards, but many other footballers as well.โ€ @SkySportDE ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฟ

Peeped the Strava - sheโ€™s quick, potentially very quick. Good base level of fitness clearly. Looked like she was moving quickly in the video clip too. A complete absence of zone 2/slower runs though - but nothing heart rate wise to suggest what was to come ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ
Just two miles from the NYC Marathon finish line, 24-year-old runner Rachel Apa suddenly collapses and never makes it home. Rachel Apa, a former college field hockey player, had spent months training for her first marathon when she collapsed in Central Park. Her father tracked her progress from Pennsylvania, sending encouragement at every mile. After Apa texted him โ€œOwโ€ and then โ€œOw ow,โ€ his final message went unanswered. Despite efforts by bystanders, emergency responders and doctors, Apa died later Sunday evening. Her father says she suffered from rhabdomyolysis, a rare, life-threatening condition that causes muscle tissue to break down. Apa was running to raise money for Parkinsonโ€™s disease research in honor of her late grandfather, raising more than $22,000. More on the heartbreaking tragedy and the rare medical condition linked to her death: foxnews.com/health/healthy-2โ€ฆ

My take. Secure a spot. From new years till race day exercise 5x a week (!!) with 1 long run & 1 tempo (fast) run, 2 recovery runs (3/10 slow efforts) and 1 s/c day in the gym. Then on race day just enjoy it. Youโ€™ll loose a lot of weight as well
Want to run a marathon? You need a ton of "time on feet". In endurance training we call that "volume". If you don't want to feel like death at the finish you need to invest several hours per week training. Don't make this training mistake. Get your volume

Always been curious to know pro footballers marathon times.. fascinating to note how footballs multi-directionalnesss didnโ€™t help him! They seldom break sub 3 but Milner has always had one of the best engines in the game. I want to see Rice run one!
๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿ… James Milner after running the New York Marathon in an incredible 3 hours and 9 minutes: ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Milner: "Iโ€™ve been trying to do three or four runs a week, building up the mileage. Itโ€™s been a bit of a transition, obviously. Itโ€™s completely different to playing football. Footballโ€™s multi-directional, lots of high-intensity runs. Iโ€™ve always had a pretty good engine." "My longest run in preparation? Longest Iโ€™ve done is just over 32 kilometres. I hit 30 another couple of times, and then just used AI really for a training program." โœ๏ธ @letsrundotcom

Itโ€™s why players pray for each others health before KO. Same with the girl Who died in the NYC marathon - every time you take the pitch/cross the start line thereโ€™s no guarantee that youโ€™ll survive; as with every breath you draw in life. You just have to be thankful ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ
๐Ÿšจ ๐—ก๐—˜๐—ช: FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesรบs Owono is expected to avoid criminal charges following the on-pitch collision that led to the tragic death of Tenerife striker Jesรบs de Miguel. The goalkeeper was sent off after his knee struck De Miguel in the chest while attempting to clear the ball. Owono has maintained that there was no intention to cause harm and is understood to be deeply affected by the incident. Footage has also emerged showing the goalkeeper confronting supporters who were chanting โ€œmurdererโ€ at him as he left the pitch. According to Spanish media, Owono could instead face a sporting suspension of between 8 and 12 matches. He has also closed his Instagram account following widespread abuse and intends to contact De Miguelโ€™s family privately.

I donโ€™t know how Saka has allowed the entire Arsenal backline + Rice to snatch his chain but multiple heroes are better than one.

Best floor in the league, and in this version of the PL itโ€™s not about how good you are when youโ€™re at your best, itโ€™s about how good you are when youโ€™re at your worst (unlike the CityPool era)

For very different reasons that win at Anfield is up there with our last win at the Etihad (2-0 Cazorla, Giroud). Contrasting masterclasses on how to win at very difficult grounds. For Liverpool to not have a shot on target at Anfield despite all their pressure says it all ๐Ÿ›‘

Cherish every moment you watch Declan Rice in an #Arsenal shirt. Warriors like this come along once in every other generation, and today he came to Anfield with one intention, and one intention only. 14 years of waiting; this is what a true ยฃ100m midfielder looks like. Masterclass.

Sir Patrick Stewart rip. We have a whole generation of high profile figures who weโ€™ll loose at some point too - Sir David Attenborough, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Ian McKellen, Michael Cain, later than them but at some point even Arsene Wenger. This is just the beginning ๐Ÿฅบ

What the internet virgins going for Kaneโ€™s wife wonโ€™t understand is that chasing pretty women pretty much leads nowhere. Literally the prettier the person the more they lack in other areas in my experience. Anyway genuine connections always! Canโ€™t be so aesthetically focused

Harry Kane going from footballโ€™s most famous trophyless player to a Ballon dโ€™Or winner might be the greatest example of why changing employers can improve your life.
