Do you own or manage an Air B&B?
If so when was the last time you had the electrical appliances tested?
In a recent visit to one in South Wales we found
3 Appliances being used incorrectly
4 That failed
2 That were a high risk of fire
2 That were high risk of electric shock – at Wales, United Kingdom

Back by popular demand (2 people asked) it’s the return of #FailOfTheWeek 🥳
Did you know that little metal part under the switch on some toasters becomes live when in use?
There’s enough power in that switch to cause serious injury or worse
Broken switch = Automatic fail ❌

#FailOfTheWeek is back (for now)
And this week it’s not an appliance that’s failed but a series of PAT suppliers
Even though this client has been tested regularly by other firms, they missed this Power Supply every year since it was last tested in 2002 by our very own @GerJDav

It’s PlayOff weekend!
Good luck @cardiffdevils 😈
And it’s Friday 🥳
That means it’s time for #FailOfTheWeek
This week it’s this beauty, straight away our qualified engineer spotted there is a screw missing & the plug has never opened
Turns out there’s no cord grip in the plug

It’s time for #FailOfTheWeek and this week we had a few at a new-to-us clients premises
184 Items tested
❌12 Fails
⚡️6 High risk of electric shock
🔥 5 High risk of a fire
All failed items had been passed by previous PAT supplier and were in use on the day
