Every solar/wind/battery system installed today will need replacement in </=20yrs.
Plus we need 16x current capacity batteries/p-hydro 2050 & 6x large-scale wind/solar (AEMO). Plus massive grid extensions.
ALP's anti-nuclear scam is unsustainable, expensive, & won't Net-0 Co2.
Alleged Helen Haines attacker Brendan Nugent, retweeted Labor's Bob Carr's VILE posts criticising Israel.
Time for toxic inflammatory POLYPS like Carr to SHUT DOWN it.
One is a fake Treasurer the other is real. Who would you pick?
Costello used 24.2% of GDP tax to deliver consecutive, multi $ billion underlying cash surpluses, paying off $96 billion of Labor's debt and establishing the Future Fund.
During his time corporate taxes were strong while GDP p/capita steadily rose.
Chalmers' tax take @ 24.1% of GDP has the budget in an underlying deficit of $22.3 billion. He relies on bracket creep from individual taxpayers to fill the coffers and has triggered a GDP p/capita recession.
When adjusted for the size of todays economy, Costello’s fiscal position was about $60 billion better off than Chalmers' budget outcome.

Liar 🤥. Spin Jim again . ACTUAL debt went up ⬆️. Using forecasts again to deliberately MISLEAD ! The two key metrics from the Final Budget Outcome are the underlying cash deficit and gross debt (face value of Australian Government Securities). archive.budget.gov.au
2024–25 (previous year)
• Underlying cash deficit: $10.0 billion
• Gross debt at 30 June 2025: $928.6 billion
2025–26 (just completed year)
• Underlying cash deficit: $22.3 billion (0.8% of GDP)
• Gross debt at 30 June 2026: $971.4 billion (33.2% of GDP)
Debt ROSE by about $42.8 billion year-on-year !!!!! Here is Jim’s spin - even though the 2025–26 outcome beat the May 2026 Budget forecasts ($28.3 billion deficit and $982.0 billion debt).

“850,000 families and businesses will pay $2.8 billion in advice alone to deal with @AlboMP ’s trust tax before restructuring costs says”@cpaaustralia . @JEChalmers isn’t closing a loophole. He’s slugging the family bakery, the farm, the tradie and the SME with a compliance bill they never asked for.
This is a war on aspiration dressed up as “fairness.” Great reporting @mcranston1 theaustralian.com.au/nation/…
Bill Kelty AC, Labor luminary tells Chalmers & Albanese
"Don't insult me ..."
"You had the Treasurer [Chalmers] say workers should be happy because their wage share is increasing, but their real wages are falling ...”
“It’s just ridiculous and people get offended by it ... They can’t pay the bills, and you tell them your share of GDP is growing."
Kelty said Chalmers and Albanese were insulting voters by welcoming lower house prices as they preside over a fall in real wages that is making houses even more unaffordable.
“Real wages have fallen by 5 per cent [since 2021 - OECD]. Real wages are not improving in any significant way – they’re falling."
Kelty predicted more [inflation and interest rate] pain to come.

We used to buy cheap electricity. Now, to dodge higher prices, we buy consumer gear, and still pay for the grid.
Transition costs did that: extra wires, backup, certificates and subsidies. The bill arrives as higher prices. That is a carbon tax in all but name.
A household then drops $8,000 to $20,000 on solar and a battery. Taxpayers throw in a few thousand more.
But panels fade. Inverters die first. The battery is a 10 to 15 year product. Then you pay again to rip it off the roof and dump it as e-waste.
Capital that once sat in plant that ran for decades now sits in household devices that don't last. Mining, shipping, install, replacement and disposal all paid for directly by households.
EVs are the same. $10,000 to $20,000 over a petrol car from a few years ago, higher insurance. In year 8 the battery, parts and resale loss is yours.
Household savings and tax money just got diverted into stuff that does not last - yet you'll probably buy it again because you have to.
Insolvencies rose as inflation, high rates and energy costs squeezed thin-margin firms, especially in construction and hospitality. Aggressive ATO debt pursuit and heavy government spending, which crowded out private activity.

Every day, the Albanese cabinet vies relentlessly to see who can be the worst at their portfolio.
Penny Wong, screeching with outrage that Israel could possibly have not launched a criminal investigation into how someone could possibly get killed in the middle of a war zone.
I don't know Penny, get Miss Marple onto it.
