A lot of people are buzzing about The Cycle on Shudder because of the practical effects. The director spent as much time filming the practical effects as he spent on principle photography!
They went full DIY w/ a small crew to do it right!

THE CYCLE (2026) starts with a mystery buried for 36 years and goes somewhere far more disturbing. I love it when a horror film keeps its cards close to the chest. Sometimes it's best to go in knowing as little as possible. Anyone watching this one on Shudder? 👀💀

THE CYCLE is one of Shudder's best original movies and one of its subgenre's best movies in a long time. A compelling mystery that transforms into something much, much cooler. Excellent practical FX. Jordan Downey is a filmmaker to watch in the horror space. Don't miss this one.
#TheCycle #Shudder is one of the biggest surprises of the year! It’s so well done, The practical effects are visceral, gritty and disturbing, @DeborahAnnWoll Is just so raw and believable in her performance, it’s intense and heart pounding. It also feel unique even though on paper it’s stuff we’ve seen done before, it was never done like this. Everyone involved should be proud it. Make sure you watch this on @Shudder before it gets spoiled for you. It’s a real must see and one I Highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

#CLAYFACE is pure body horror at its finest! A gloriously grotesque take on a classic DC villain. Tom Rhys Harries brings a tragic yet horrifying performance to the screen in one of the most unique comic book movies in some time. Bravo to DC Films for taking such a bold chance.

#Clayface I really dug this! The film is so well paced & immediately hooks you into Matt Hagen’s tragic story. DCU’s Gotham feels as grimy & alive as I could hope. The body horror is GNARLY . Coming from someone who HATES the solo villain movie trend I was pretty happy with this!
