At this time, SAN has not been given a final list of affected flights or airlines impacted, but we are actively monitoring developments in coordination with the FAA and our airline partners.
Our focus remains on maintaining a safe, reliable travel experience and ensuring timely communication as national guidance evolves.
We encourage travelers to:
•Download their airline’s app for real-time flight notifications and if applicable re-accommodation options.
If your flight is scheduled to operate, arrive to the airport early for additional time for parking, security screening, and navigation.
We will provide the public with updates if we begin to see:
•Delays or cancellations
•Changes affecting peak travel periods
•Staffing-related impacts
🧵Beginning Friday, November 7, at 12:01 am the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will initiate a nationwide 10% reduction in flight operations at 40 high-volume airports. The FAA has indicated that domestic flight schedules may be adjusted as part of this effort.
