A queda vem principalmente da pecuária e é maior nas terras indígenas. Parte do problema vai para municípios vizinhos, mas nas estimativas principais esse aumento é menor que a queda no município protegido.
Proteger a floresta é proteger o trabalhador.

Does protecting land in the Amazon reduce modern slavery? The data suggest it does.
With new protected areas, the chance of inspectors finding slave labor falls by more than half.

Could it just be fewer reports? Three facts suggest otherwise. The share of inspections that find slave labor also falls, the decline is concentrated in sectors tied to land grabbing, and IBAMA fines do not decline in protected municipalities.
Our results suggest that protecting land in the Amazon can also help combat slave labor.
