Out of hibernation for this one. I can only assume the referee believes Greenfield kicks that net off deliberately. That's the only way that goal counts.
For me, it isn't so clear. Greenfield is moving to his right and stretching to prevent the Flyer from going around him (1/2).
...and not only that, that same Flyer's stick is pushing on Greenfield's pad as he is trying to jam the puck under said pad in the initial goalscoring opportunity, thus Greenfields skate pushes the post. Either way, it is going to be a huge point of discussion for a while (2/2).

Honestly, it's only a small overpay in my view.
A mid to late 1st round pick this year and a similar expected one in 2028.
Would have rather kept hold of the Florida first and dropped a 2nd rounder and a depth guy that isn't need.

Quality league, can never typically go wring with Finnish D.
Should translate to the Huuts replacement statistically. Hopefully has a little bit of the physical edge also.
Just need another RHD that's more stay at home to complete the D core and I'll be relatively happy.
I'm more than alright with this. Has always been sturdy and dependable for most of the time he has played here.
Obviously the injury last year was unfortunate.
Hoping the rest of the D core is right handed for balance and also new to the club now.

Personal view on Cole going to Belfast.
For most of his tenure in Sheffield, I thought overall he was poorly utilised for the vast majority of the time by his coaches.
However, despite that, he ALWAYS gave it everything he had and then some. 110% every time he hit the ice. 1/2.

Really hope this is a big indication of going down the route of a 1a/1b system with him.
As much as it was great having two import netties for the 1a/1b system, it takes away from funding the import depth ranks elsewhere that was clearly lacking within the lineup last season.
An absolutely HUGE re-signing.
Head and shoulders our best players last year. Carried us at times. Just needs the right support around him again.
Boo hiss boo.
Shame for the league, especially when we have really shown what we are capable of in that competition.

Personally expect him to be placed somewhere in the middle 6, likely the second line rather than the third.
Another welcome return. Would like to see him get some PP time though.
