Hey @CenterParcsUK, I saw this at Whinfell. Otters don't build dams. Or chew wood. Plus, those are silhouettes of Beavers. So basically you need to rename your Otter dam to a Beaver dam. You are welcome!

The Warleigh woodland/wetland crowdfunder is up to 92%!! A large part of this is thanks to our amazing neighbors at Warleigh Wood, who all want to see natural habitats next to them expanded. I’m excited to work with them on both sides of the fence. crowdfunder.co.uk/p/reforest…

Was up Skiddaw a few years back and was struck how barren it was. When I saw this campaign I was more than happy to chuck a tenner into the pot for this. Buzzing for the potential!! bbc.com/news/articles/c1e859…

This sunken Bridleway in Nottinghamshire was blocked with a fallen tree. It is open again after an hour with a chainsaw and secateurs. Another 12 months and I think the brambles would have closed it forever. 1/2 #wildservice @RamblersGB

Interesting how the WW2 food supply propaganda is still an integral part of our national psyche. We don't blink an eye when farmers say that "if land can be farmed, it should be farmed". Imagine if construction companies said "if land can be built on, it should be built on".

Yeah, food security is important. But so is energy security. And nature recovery. Putting solar on land that "could" be farmed isn't sacrilege. Neither is rewilding. It's just a different, equally valid, use of land.
