Some more examples of us exploring and discussing the artists exhibition. We recognised that we all felt differently about the art. We were able to listen to one another’s opinions of what it made us feel and think about 😇
Thank you so much for bringing the ‘Travelling Gallery’ to Girvan Primary School today! We were able to explore the sculptures and artwork from the Coded Craft exhibition
SWB2 have started their new Science topic all about water. We went on a water hunt around the school and captured our findings using the iPads💧
The children of P3 are enjoying their class story, Zog. There were some interesting conversations when they were exploring the book during DEAR time. (drop everything and read)
P3AL have had a great day. We have worked hard on our sentence construction and created small dramas to show our understanding of the cheese making process. Plenty of variety today!
We were delighted to celebrate with the build team, our councillors, the director of education and staff from our central team yesterday. We had a ‘topping out ceremony’ which means that our new building is full height! It’s getting closer to opening now - we can’t wait!
P6CA have been working in teams to create a working fairground attraction. They then explained how they had made it and how it worked.
P3AL are receiving rugby lessons from Aiden Strachan and Daryl of Carrick Rugby. Great fun learning to work as a team, show responsibility and pass the ball from their hips.

P2/3BP used the laptops to practise logging into a computer. It’s not easy to do but an essential skill. We are going to continue practising so we log in independently.
P7EB and P7CS have been busy setting up for our MacMillan Coffee Morning which will be tomorrow from 9-12. We hope to see you there! ☕️
As part of maths week P2/3BP were asked to show different ways to make 10/ 20. We chose what resources we wanted to use then made a class discussion board on our Maths wall in class.
P3AL were investigating the number 24 as part of Maths Week. They worked together to make arrays and addition calculations. They were super Arrays Detectives!
