Forge is just a few weeks away, and what better way to celebrate than announcing Sahil Bloom as our closing keynote. Millions of people read his newsletter, The Curiosity Chronicle, every week. His book, The 5 Types of Wealth, is a New York Times bestseller. He’s also the managing partner of SRB Ventures, an early-stage investment fund. His work is about building a business and a life that are rich in time, relationships, health, and money. What a great way to close out an inspiring few days with the best and brightest in the industry. Just a few more tickets remain, so if you haven’t booked your spot, now’s the time to do so: buildops.com/forge

Commercial contractors should not have to piece together the financial side of the business and the operational side of the work. BuildOps and NetSuite together give commercial contractors a stronger connection between finance, field execution, and the day-to-day operation. Together, we connect the financial side of the business with the operational reality of commercial service — from dispatch and technician workflows to service agreements, work orders, quoting, and field execution. The result is a more connected operation for the unsung heroes of the trades — one that helps teams stay reliable when the work is complex and customers are counting on them. We’re proud to help bring that together: suiteapp.com/BuildOps-Commer…

Every commercial contractor runs two sets of numbers whether they mean to or not. Work progresses in the field while invoices, payments, purchase orders, receipts, labor and material costs move separately toward the books. Labor is the sharpest gap. The field books hours at a blended rate, but the real payroll cost, including taxes, burden, prevailing wage and fringe, lands later and often never makes it back to the job. On a prevailing wage job, the premium can run about 30 dollars an hour over the burden rate the field is watching. So the margin a project manager watches all month is not the margin finance books at the end of it. Nobody finds out until close, and by then the crew has moved on and there is nothing left to recover. Finance Hub closes that gap by putting a governed ledger inside BuildOps between the two systems. Transactions are validated, coded and approved there before they post. Exceptions surface in near real-time when they happen rather than at month end. Periods close and stay closed. Every financially significant action is written to an audit record. Job cost and work in progress refresh from the same ledger, so the field and finance finally read one number. We benchmarked 1,500+ commercial contractors and found that the top 20% collect cash 62% faster, pull 65% more revenue per technician, and win 14 more points on every quote. Now you can see where your shop sits, and what closing the gap is actually worth. Run your numbers (takes about 3 minutes): roi.buildops.com

BuildOps just took home Project Management Solution of the Year from @PropTech_Awards. BuildOps was built because commercial contractors deserve a platform that works as hard as they do. For the crews keeping hospitals cool, schools running, and buildings safe — the work behind the scenes that nobody sees until it stops. Awards are great to have. But what matters more is watching contractors close out work faster, spot problems earlier, and grow without adding back-office headcount. Huge thank you to the contractors who trust us with their work and the team behind the product. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is headlining #Forge2026, the biggest event for commercial contractors, this November in San Diego. Can’t wait to see him in a room full of the teams that keep the lights on and the data centers humming. Third-generation racer. 50 wins, 2 championships, 2 Daytona 500s, 15 straight years as NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver, Hall of Fame since 2021 — and now owner, broadcaster, author, and founder. He’s lived the same math contractors do every day: good day vs. bad day usually isn’t luck, it’s whether the team nailed the prep. That’s why he belongs on the Forge 2026 stage in San Diego this November. buildops.com/forge?utm_sourc… #AllSystemsGo.

Proud to partner with @lumberfi_inc to connect BuildOps field data directly into Lumber’s Canadian payroll engine—giving contractors one connected system from job site to general ledger, with compliance and job costing handled automatically.

Revenue that used to sit in visit notes is finally getting picked up. AI recommendations are viewed 12x more often than a year ago, turning technician notes from completed visits into thousands of new sales opportunities each quarter.

Document scanning is up nearly 9x year over year. OpsAI pulls line items off supplier invoices and POs, helps invoices draft themselves, and cuts roughly 80% of the manual data entry behind purchasing and billing.

Over the last 12 months, monthly active AI users inside BuildOps grew 17x across more than 1,500 commercial contractors 🧵 For example, techs now run 100,000+ equipment nameplate scans in a single month. They take a photo, #OpsAI reads the plate, and the asset record fills in:

This is a big one. ACG Los Angeles recognized BuildOps with this year’s Industry Transformation award, and we’re fired up 🔥. Huge moment for us and the work we’re doing to help contractors. Shoutout to our team, customers, and partners who are building this with us. 💚

Most project tools were built for the GC. Not for the specialty contractors actually doing the work. That’s why we built Projects. A project system built for the trades. buildops.com/platform/projec…

Big news: Dzmitry Markovich joins BuildOps as our new CTO. He scaled engineering at Dropbox through its IPO, led the function at Apollo.io, and has been advising us since 2023. Now he's here to build what's next for OpsAI and the trades. bit.ly/48CcRSk
