Mitch McConnell recruited Larry Hogan to run for Senate because he’s a “die-hard lifelong Republican” and would give them the Senate majority. He’s said it himself.
In courageously deciding not to seek reelection, @POTUS is putting his country’s needs before his own interests and ambitions. @TheDemocrats must unite around its nominee to defeat the extreme MAGA Project 2025 agenda and a man who makes no secret of his love for self above all.
Deciding to retire was tough. But knowing @JohnnyOJr was ready to step up to the plate made it possible. Congrats on becoming the Democratic nominee for #Md02!! There is no one more capable and ready.
My ballot is in! Proud to support @davidjtrone as Maryland’s next Senator! He’s the right candidate at the right time. Polls are open until 8 PM! Hope to see you out here.
Knowing that @JohnnyOJr was ready to take up the torch for #MD02 made the difficult decision to retire a little easier. Congress needs leaders who understand how to build consensus and how policies actually affect people on the ground -- leaders like Johnny O.
Johnny will carry on the legacy of transparency, accountability and, yes, working across the aisle. I am proud to endorse @JohnnyOJr today for my job!
It's been the honor of a lifetime, Maryland! After 21 years in Congress, I have decided to pass the torch to our next generation of leaders and retire at the end of my current term. Full announcement video here: f.io/BZbX_P6t
Today, I am proud to endorse my friend and colleague, @davidjtrone, for US Senate. David has been a strong ally to Baltimore City and Baltimore County and is ready to hit the ground running. More here:

I admire Senator John Fetterman for openly seeking treatment for depression at Walter Reed.
Back in 2010, I was hospitalized for depression. I would not be alive, let alone in Congress, were it not for mental health care.
Millions of Americans are rooting for you, Senator.
On this Veterans Day, we honor all the men and women who have defended and protected our country. Thank you for your service.
Just received a gracious call from @NicoleeAmbrose, who conceded the election. I respect anyone willing to throw their hat in the ring and serve their community. Looking forward to representing the new #MD02.
Working the polls in part of the “new” #Md02 in Westminster! Polls are open until 8 pm and every vote MATTERS!
Met some @Official_BPI juniors at @GraceUMethodist in Baltimore! Married my wife, Kay, at this church “several” years ago and I am looking forward to repping this community in #MD02! Go vote!
Working the polls and caught up w/ our next Governor, @iamwesmoore and County Exec @JohnnyOJr in Windsor Mill! Get out and vote! Tell your friends!
