I've been around long enough to see that being deliberately dull or not exciting (basically, being authentic) gets you further with growth. Maintaining a routine and dropping the unnecessary goal of constant impressiveness will most likely make you stick with your own process. Having to attempt to dazzle people you barely know, at your own detriment, has to be peak foolishness and self betrayal if you ask me. Interestingness should only be a residue of what you actually are when push comes to shove, when there's no one sitting there staring at you in the room.
