Malignant narcissism goes far beyond ordinary narcissism.
Erich Fromm developed the concept while trying to understand Hitler.
When we talk about narcissism, we’re talking about traits like grandiosity, entitlement, being highly transactional, and believing you are uniquely special. One of the most important features is a lack of empathy, an inability to really step into someone else’s shoes and understand what they are experiencing.
But when Fromm looked at Hitler, he recognized something much more severe.
He was looking at traits like believing you are above the law, pathological lying, sadism, paranoia, and an inability to trust.
That is the kind of profile malignant narcissism was being used to describe.
When I was asked to write The Cult of Trump, one thing I knew for sure was that Trump fit the malignant narcissistic profile I had seen in destructive cult leaders.
In Chapter Three, I compared him with Sun Myung Moon, L. Ron Hubbard, and Jim Jones, drawing direct behavioral parallels.
And because Trump has been on such a public stage for so many years, people have been given a very visible example of what malignant narcissism can look like.

The Legion Commits Up to $250,000 to Support Those Affected by the CFB Wainwright Tragedy
A statement from Dominion President Sharon McKeown on the Legion's commitment to providing immediate and long-term assistance to the injured and their families.
"I am pleased to share that The Royal Canadian Legion is providing significant financial support to assist the victims and families affected by the recent tragedy at CFB Wainwright in Alberta. Our approach will help with both immediate and longer-term requirements. This is directly in keeping with our pledge to support Veterans and their families in times of need, through the Poppy Trust Fund.
The Legion’s Alberta-NWT Command will continue to offer its tremendous on-the-ground assistance to families which began in the immediate aftermath. They will provide for things like travel, accommodations, and food; as long as required. Thanks to the support of your Branches, the Command indicates their Poppy funds are sufficient to handle the current requests.
After conversations with the Canadian Armed Force’s Royal Chaplain Service (RCCChS), which is in direct and ongoing contact with affected families across the country; we understand that immediate needs are being met. The Legion’s financial support at a national level will therefore cover emerging requirements including mental health and caregiver support. Our Dominion Executive Council has approved an amount up to $250,000 to be released in stages. An immediate $100,000 will be disbursed to the Together We Stand Foundation, a not-for-profit entity. This foundation works with the RCCChS to ensure that 100% of what is provided will go directly to support those impacted. Subsequent disbursements of $50,000 will be made if and as needed.
Some members of the CAF sustained severe injuries, and as of this week, over two dozen remained in hospital. It is anticipated that longer term treatment and assistance for the injured and their families will be required. I am confident our strong approach will help ensure that all families receive what they need now and in the future. We will continue to monitor this situation with our military and others and adjust our course as we learn more.
Our thoughts remain with the injured, those who died, their comrades and their families.
We Will Remember Them."

I'm confused, outraged, and upset by the lack of the world's reaction to the criminal Russian double-tap in Komyshuvakha.
Search and rescue operations have been underway for 3 days now following a Russian strike on a school. Russians launched 9 guided aerial bombs, initially targeting residents gathered to receive humanitarian aid, and then striking the first responders and police officers who arrived at the scene.
People were there to receive bread!
The death toll is currently at 40 people, with over 30 still missing, and after three days, considering the explosions were so strong that recovered bodies are actually "fragments," that means that they are likely gone too.
I can't understand why this is not news, why the f*** is this normalized???

Google heard the outcry from parents, teachers, and the US Senate, who don’t want Gemini pushed into classrooms. AI causes cognitive offloading, encourages cheating on homework, and enables the possibility of forming human-like relationships with a chatbot. So Google responded: They are going to make Gemini an “opt-in” choice for each school district. Great!
But then they attached a condition: if a school district does NOT turn on Gemini, then the students lose Google search, which is deeply woven into the fabric of education. This is coercion, not choice. Google can and should just restore what we all had before: Google search with no AI chatbot interaction or AI overviews.

Sean Foley just fixed my setup in about 10 seconds and the difference was immediate
I was standing way too far from the ball so he could push me over easy
He had me stand as tall as I could then let gravity bring the club all the way down to the ground before adding just a little ankle and knee flex
Suddenly I was way more balanced and the backswing felt like it took forever in a good way
I had more time to turn and the whole swing felt freer
World class ball strikers have this one to one ratio between how far the hands travel and how much the body rotates and this setup gets you closer to that
Most people set up already bent over and stuck so they never get that free motion
