The past year and a half with NS RedForce has been incredible: two Ascension runs, Kickoff and Masters Santiago titles, 3rd at EWC, a runner-up finish in VCT Pacific 2026, and a Champions playoff appearance.
Now it’s time for a new chapter.

Regarding the rumor that VCTCN teams need to have League of Legends，I talked more than 3 sources before and The conclusion is simple:
two things happened at the same time coincidentally, with no binding relationship between them.
League of Legends is still world-class in terms of popularity. The expiration of the 2027 LPL slots may lead to structural adjustments, which is why many teams started building LDL rosters this year and plan to push for LPL next season.
Looking at this alone, it's actually quite normal—it just happens to coincide with the VCT slot expiration, making people naturally assume these two matters are related, including some League pro players who said the same thing.
the timelines for team formations differ: XLG started in April, TE in June, and TEC in July. and So far, none of these teams have a main roster in league.
If simply doing this could increase their chances of getting a VCT slot, then NOVA, TyLoo, Wolves, and DRG would have no reason not to follow suit. even RNG hinted on social media that League might be revived next year. Unless you argue that these teams never intended to compete for VCT slots from the beginning.
2026 VCTCN Ascension schedule has been released. It is divided into two weeks.
First week, 12 teams will compete in a single-elimination bracket, and the champion will get first VCTCN slot.
Second week, a new team will be added as a replacement, still keeping 12 teams and the second week's champion will get the second VCTCN slot.
Ascension will be held at the Shanghai , with ticket sales and in-person viewing available.
The matchup information will be announced on October 19.
