Hi @johnruzicka - how do you have your alert set? Is it just for Realtime or comprehensive?
@kirannarendran Select the Updates type in the first dropdown menu and you'll get tweets. Try using the preview if you're not sure.
@kirannarendran @TheAnand Try the new "Updates" type on Google Alerts - it has results from Twitter, Google Buzz, Facebook and more.
