In 2004, a German demoscene group released a game called .kkrieger. It was a full 3D first-person shooter with dynamic lighting, textures, sound effects, music, and monster AI. The entire executable was 96 kilobytes. Instead of storing images and audio files, they wrote C++ and Assembly that generated the 3D meshes, textures, and sound waves mathematically in RAM when the game booted. Today, a single website's "Accept Cookies" banner is 10x larger than that entire 3D game.

Meet Daniel Robson -- Canadian journalist based in Montreal specializing in extremism, terrorism and national security. He wrote 24+ articles in Canada's largest news publications... incl. Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Gazette, The Hub etc. Only one problem. He doesn't exist. His photo is AI. No one ever asked to talk to him on the phone or videochat. This scam was only uncovered AFTER he tried to publish a story in TURKEY! (yes, the country) The real identity of the author remains a mystery, but he seemed to have had Pro-Moroccan leanings.
