Because they didnt give Terry all of batmans friends. Villains and iconography. He made his own. For example. Lame stewart cant have his own friends. He has steal hals or Kyle's and they must age up hal to justify that bum being a founder of the JL

Cap thing got me wondering. Has there ever been a superhero passing the mantle that was universally well received? Peter -> Ben & Miles as Spider-Man has been bumpy. Steve -> Sam as Cap too. I think Terry as Batman is the only one everyone liked. Idk why though.

Completely agree. Do I like the dcau? Less than most cuz of hal Jordan erasure. And hawkman mischaracterization. Amongst many flanderizing. But that show made JL stories that didnt centre's around the world ending. They can be interpersonal too. Mcu reboot should do tht.
