Heavy rain calls for extra caution on the road.
Switch on your headlights, reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance, and stay alert. See and be seen. Your safety and that of other road users matter.

Exchange Rates: Uganda’s Shilling appreciated by 1.9% against the US dollar in FY 2025/26 but has depreciated by 6% since August 2026, driven by increased demand for foreign exchange and rising global oil prices.
In response, the Bank of Uganda raised the Central Bank Rate from 9.75% to 12% and increased the Cash Reserve Requirement to 13.5% to tighten liquidity.
Government is coordinating monetary and fiscal policies to restore currency stability. While the Shilling faces pressure, currency depreciation does not necessarily mean a shrinking economy; Uganda’s economic performance must be assessed within the broader context of growth, resilience and regional trends. #OpenGovUg

The @EACOP_ Pump Station Two in Sembabule is now 94% complete.
This site, nearing the commissioning phase, is one of two pump stations in Uganda. The other one is at Kabaale, Hoima while the other four are in Tanzania.
Replying to @EACOP_
@EACOP_ pump station 2 in Sembabule.
Pump stations increase pressure & flow. As oil flows, it loses pressure coz of friction along the pipe wall, changes in terrain (hills, valleys & plateaus) & cooling & increased viscosity. They provide extra pressure.
