PHENOMENAL ALBATROSS BREEDING SUCCESS: Breeding success for Tristan #albatross is a massive 75.5% in 2022 – more than 2x the 2004-2021 average! Our team counted 1,186 chicks from 1,570 pairs, hardening our resolve to achieve a mouse-free future for #Gough #conservationoptimism

Latest from #Gough - Our team have been busy trying to capture all mice they detect so that we can glean information from them via off-island lab analyses. However, now that we’re relying on the island’s annual resupply voyage, it will be many months before we obtain any results.
In the meantime, we will bring important news from #Gough such as the #breedingsuccess of our monitored birds. Any improvement in fledgling numbers will be good news for Gough’s #seabirds, which urgently need an injection of new recruits into the adult population 🥚🐣🐥🐧
