Many Republicans mock the “No Kings” rallies. I am telling you that Dems use them to fire up their base and motivate voters. The fact is, they can mobilize an incredible amount of people very quickly and will continue to do so coming into the mid-terms.
It doesn’t matter that they use fear and lies to motivate the people they are reaching.
Dems were willing to let families in need go without food in order to get the wins they got last night. I would not be surprised if the Dems came to the table today to re-open the government. They got what they really wanted. They forced a shutdown, effectively blamed republicans and won races across the country at the expense of our most vulnerable.
We watched Americans from Maine to California vote against their own safety, pocketbooks, and best interests while Republicans sat on their hands.
Republicans need to learn that rolling rallies do not translate to votes. Social media fights do not translate to votes. Unless and until Republicans across this country decide they want to fight for this nation by opening their wallets, investing time in making phone calls, knocking on doors, and helping candidates, we will continue to see devastating consequences.
I am so concerned for all of the folks in my city that cannot afford another dime who will now have to foot the bill for billions of dollars in pet projects. These are the people the Dems don’t give two shakes about. These are the folks I am feeling devastated for.
We are not helpless in this but we all need to make a commitment to work for candidates in 2026, bury the infighting, and put that energy into fighting for our nation. I pray that last night was a wake-up call for the Republican Party. 🙏
