The world is getting more of its electricity from renewables but less from nuclear power. If the world is to reduce its carbon emissions and tackle climate change, it needs to move away from fossil fuels to low-carbon power. There are two key sources of low-carbon electricity: renewables — which include solar, wind, hydropower and others — and nuclear power. While rapid growth in solar and wind has increased the amount of electricity coming from renewables, a lack of enthusiasm for nuclear means it’s playing a shrinking role in the global mix. In the chart, you can see the share of global electricity coming from fossil fuels, renewables, and nuclear since 1985. Since 2000, nuclear and renewables have followed very different trajectories. Back then, both accounted for a similar share of global electricity. But in 2025, renewables made up more than three times as much: 34% compared to 9%. The total amount of electricity produced by nuclear plants is about the same as it was two decades ago. But because the world produces much more electricity overall, its share of the electricity mix has declined. (written by @_HannahRitchie and @parriagadap)

$TSLA : MERGER When there is a gap ? Distract. First with a flying car that's commercially pointless, The merger talks are designed exactly for spinning the improbable valuation plates on a new pole as the earnings and the operating results as just ok-ish while the market cap NEEDs extraordinary. So? Distract

Wall Street is about to learn an expensive lesson. Paying any price for growth was never an investment strategy. I’ve been warning about the rotation into value. We’re seeing the early signs. The next fortunes won’t be made chasing yesterday’s winners. They’ll be made buying what everyone else has forgotten.

SpaceX spent $48 BILLION in 9 months. Operating cash flow? $13 billion. A $35 billion gap. Meanwhile, 84% of capex is going into AI, not Starlink. I remember the telecom boom. The technology changed the world. Investors still lost fortunes. Growth isn't a return on capital. $SPACX forbes.com/sites/jimosman/20…

Digital Gold is an oxymoron . Why? Because the source of Gold's value is its physical attributes. Money is only a SECOND property that is ONLY possible because Gold has its first precious metals property for jewelry. The writers of the XIXth century are very clear about it. xitter.cf/GraphCall/status/19133…
1/6 The old/ new Paradigm. Gold has ALWAYS been THE PRIME source of liquidity. Explanation by Thomas Tooke WHY. For FX as reserves to work it requires that Central Bank of the G-7 with Volcker and Nixon be PROHIBITED from dumping their USD acquired into Gold market and use Gold as the liquidity source. Why? Because it evidently is repeat of the mid-1960s external drain and kills the FX as reserves.

🔥🔥🔥 Budanov: “Now we’re going to fucking burn every Russian oil refinery and port to the fucking ground. Every last one!” xitter.cf/oct7neverforget/status…
The day before yesterday, during negotiations in the United States, an incident reportedly took place that left the American delegation literally speechless. When the Ukrainian representatives learned that sanctions against Putin were being lifted and that Washington was demanding an end to strikes on Russian oil refineries, Budanov allegedly responded in extremely harsh terms. At the very end of the meeting, when the participants had already risen from the table and were heading toward the exit, he threw these words straight in the Americans’ faces: “Now we’re going to fucking burn every Russian oil refinery and port to the fucking ground. Every last one!” According to reports, the Americans were so stunned by what they heard that they couldn't find anything to say in response. No objections, no threats, no usual diplomatic language. Just silence. Washington received an unmistakable message: Ukraine has no intention of asking permission to defend itself against Russian aggression.

When NIIC is negative and declining (delta NIIC < 0), the private sector accumulates fewer net financial aclaims than the government deficit would imply. So part of the "fiscal stimulus" that appears on the income statement is matched by a deterioration in external position rather than by a strengthening of the domestic private balance sheet. TADA!

#Silver Here we go: Tandem-Solar lowers the need for #Silver which increases the need for #Silver Watch 📺 the Daily Graph 🕸️ An LLM Chat converted in a knowledge Graph By AI via GraphCall... Today? Silver. graphcall.com/execute?task=N… Should Silver intensity decrease with Tandem Solar? YES So all else equal the cost per watt falls with tandem solar ? YES And a plunge in costs per Watt combined with the situation of Car to Grid with bi-directional inverters in Silicon carbide should combined would reduce very significantly the total system costs of Solar energy (all else equal) YES Which in turn drives a lage increase in demand because demand for cheap energy is quite elastic. YES And that means a lot more demand for Solar energy comes in. YES However, as the Silver intensity per Watt has decreased the price point where Silver is a roadblock is quite higher. YES Are we in a Jevons paradox already? TOTALLY 😍

A senior Ukraine official told the Financial Times that Kyiv will continue long range drone strikes, and will “burn Russian refineries” despite Trump’s phone agreement with Putin for Russia to supply diesel. Ukraine has vowed to destroy all Russia’s refineries to ensure they don’t get exported to the US.
