Thank you for this question Corina 🥀🔥
1616 initially I was promoted to adapt Rembrandt’s Night Watch for the Google Gemini x Rijksmuseum exhibition. I found the original painting had no specific story to it other than a commission by a nobleman, so I looked into what was going on in Holland at the time and the 1616 Delft Riots of the taxation on corn had made it impossible for farmers to make a living and it seemed to have a strong parallel with the protests we see around the world today, protesting the cost of living.
I then looked into what else was happening in that year and it seemed to have a wider historical significance; as it was the same year that both Shakespeare and Cervantes died and occurred just a few years before one of the most tumultuous periods in human history. These scribe’s passing and the riots seemed to foreshadow decades of strife across the globe. poetixstream.art/collections…

History through a poet's eye 🖋️ The details tell their own small stories before you even see the whole piece. What drew you to 1616?

Working with @SethQuinn44 new setup and AI tools connected to a super computer he has aptly named “The Beast” in the Black Mind collective has enabled the return of an older model Stable Deforum Diffusion, which was discontinued by Google Colab. I previously used it to texture my on camera poetry readings ~ the newer models just cannot get this same affect.
