Anthony Davis said Bub Carrington asked him if he had another gear when the Wizards trailed in the third quarter. Davis scored 18 of his 34 points in the quarter to propel the Wizards to the win. “The team wanted me to be aggressive. I wanted to be aggressive.”

Justin Champagnie completely flipped this game. Entered down 93-90. Exited with the Wizards ahead 107-98. Finished a with 8 PTS and 8 REB and was a game-high +17. Baller.

FINAL | WAS 128, MIL 116 Anthony Davis (34 PTS, 12 REB) was outstanding. Bilal Coulibaly and Kyshawn George starred on both ends. Justin Champagnie made his usual winning plays. And Washington earned a gritty comeback win. The young Wizards are 1-0. wizardscentral.com/p/three-t…

The Washington Wizards are above .500 for the first time since November 28, 2022.

Kyshawn George with the exclamation point. This place is rocking.

BILAL OH MY

The Wizards are on a 21-5 run to open the fourth quarter. They lead 111-98. Completely flipped this game on its head with terrific defense. This place is going NUTS

Justin Champagnie. Drills a three. Lasers a pass to Ayton for a layup. The Wizards have battled. And now they have the lead.

Anthony Davis has 30 PTS and 11 REB through three quarters. 18 PTS in the third quarter alone. Simply dominating. He is willing the Wizards back into this one, but Milwaukee keeps answering. Wizards trail 93-90 entering the fourth.

Anthony Davis has 23 points and nine rebounds after that and-1. And the Wizards faithful is loving it

The Wizards have generated great looks but are just 4-21 from three so far. Gotta think they'll fall eventually, which could spark the run Washington needs. Even with those shooting struggles, the Wiz only trail by five halfway through Q3.

HALF | MIL 56, WAS 51 Davis: 12 PTS Young: 11 PTS Carrington: 8 PTS Anthony Davis has looked great. As have Bub Carrington and Bilal Coulibaly. But Washington's offense has looked stagnant at times. Still plenty of time to regroup.

Awesome sequence for Bub Carrington. Consecutive possessions where he touched the paint that resulted in him drilling a triple and assisting Ayton under the basket. Then picked up a steal and drilled a mid-range jumper off a nice dribble move. He's got 8 PTS on 3-4 FG.

Brian Keefe has gone with a 10-man rotation to begin this one: Starters: Young-George-Coulibaly-Davis-Sarr Off the bench: Carrington-Johnson-Champagnie-Middleton-Ayton

First quarter MVP chants for Anthony Davis. And he deserves it. Already has 10 points and 6 rebounds on 4-6 FG. Dominating the paint.

Justin Champagnie and Tre Johnson are the Wizards’ first subs. Looks like Champagnie will be part of the rotation.

Bilal Coulibaly has been everywhere to begin this game. Started with an and-1, then threw a dime inside to AD for a layup. He's already got two steals and a deflection on the defensive end.

This place is ROCKING
