Good explanation of what’s happened. Note that you can expect any higher power costs to land in a future bill. MISO will be pressed to answer why the peak demand load wasn’t anticipated. Pretty sure they have access to weather forecasts, too.

Again, it’s still early, and maybe these details will come. But this is the norm for a regional power distributor that doesn’t have to answer to state or local regulators.

While it’s encouraging that a PSC member is getting answers, it should be noted the federal govt, not the state, regulates MISO. Accountability in store? Way too soon to say.

In case you’re wondering, Entergy generates electricity, but MISO controls when and where it’s delivered to customers.
